Abstract

**** The Effects of the BI Rate, Bank Credit, and Economic Growth on Financial System Stability in Indonesia during the 2015–2025 Period. Undergraduate Thesis. Jakarta. Economics Education Study Program. Faculty of Economics and Business. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2026. Financial system stability plays an important role in maintaining financial intermediation and strengthening economic resilience against various pressures. This study aims to analyze the effects of the BI Rate, bank credit, and economic growth on financial system stability in Indonesia during the 2015–2025 period, as measured by the Financial System Stability Index (ISSK). This study applies a quantitative approach using secondary time-series data obtained from Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, and Statistics Indonesia. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square method through EViews 13. The results show that the BI Rate has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on the ISSK, with a probability value of 0.3804. Bank credit has a negative and significant effect, with a probability value of 0.0002, indicating that increased credit distribution is associated with lower pressure on financial system stability. Economic growth has a positive but insignificant effect, with a probability value of 0.8064. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on the ISSK, with an F-statistic probability of 0.001377. The coefficient of determination of 31.96 percent indicates that changes in the ISSK are also influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings emphasize the importance of maintaining sound credit distribution and strengthening coordination between monetary and macroprudential policies to preserve financial system stability.
