Abstract

Pola pengelompokan spasial diidentifikasi menggunakan autokorelasi spasial Global Moran's I dan Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA). ***** This quantitative remote sensing-based study aims to analyze the change dynamics and spatial distribution patterns of ecological quality in South Tangerang City at specific observation points in 2005, 2015, and 2025. The evaluation of ecological quality was measured using the Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI), which integrates four biophysical parameters vegetation density (NDVI), wetness (WET), built-up/dryness (NDBSI), and land surface temperature (LST) via Principal Component Analysis (PCA) based on Landsat 5 TM and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS imagery. Spatial clustering patterns were identified using Global Moran's I spatial autocorrelation and Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA). Temporally, the city-level average RSEI exhibits a fluctuating pattern: 0.603 in 2005, sharply dropping to 0.467 in 2015 due to massive physical expansion following regional autonomy, and slightly improving to 0.484 in 2025. This minor recovery of 0.017 in 2025 represents a temporary balance influenced by high rainfall during image acquisition and localized vegetation greening. Spatially, spatial clustering of critical environments intensified with an increase in Moran's I value from 0.584 to 0.626, characterized by the expansion of critical LowLow (LL) clusters in the north-eastern corridor (Pondok Aren, Ciputat, Pamulang) and the contraction of High-High (HH) clusters in the south-western region (Setu and Serpong). These findings recommend that the local government, stakeholders, and the community synergize to strengthen the implementation of green infrastructure, the development of public and private Green Open Spaces (RTH), and the fulfillment of the legal mandate of 30% RTH to achieve sustainable urban spatial planning.
