Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan bahan ajar dalam memfasilitasi kegiatan eksperimen kalor laten secara sistematis serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi untuk mendukung pengukuran dan analisis data pada pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul eksperimen kalor laten dengan pendekatan STEM berbantuan data logger yang valid dan memiliki kepraktisan awal untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dibatasi sampai tahap Development, yaitu Analysis, Design, dan Development. Tahap Analysis dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, analisis kurikulum, analisis materi, dan studi literatur. Tahap Design meliputi perancangan struktur modul, kegiatan eksperimen, serta instrumen penelitian. Tahap Development meliputi penyusunan produk, validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, revisi produk, serta uji coba pengguna one on one kepada enam peserta didik. Kepraktisan awal modul diamati menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan penggunaan modul selama uji coba pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria layak berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli serta menunjukkan kepraktisan awal yang baik berdasarkan hasil observasi keterlaksanaan penggunaan modul pada uji coba pengguna. Dengan demikian, modul eksperimen kalor laten dengan pendekatan STEM berbantuan data logger layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pembelajaran fisika pada materi kalor laten di SMA. Kata kunci: modul, kalor laten, data Logger, eksperimen, pendekatan STEM. ***** This study was motivated by the limitations of instructional materials in facilitating latent heat experiments systematically and the suboptimal use of technology to support data measurement and analysis in senior high school physics learning. This study aimed to develop a latent heat experimental module with a STEM approach assisted by a data logger that is valid and demonstrates initial practicality for use in senior high school physics learning. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which was limited to the Analysis, Design, and Development stages. The Analysis stage included needs analysis, curriculum analysis, material analysis, and literature review. The Design stage involved designing the module structure, experimental activities, and research instruments. The Development stage included product development, validation by subject matter experts and media experts, product revision, and a one-on-one user trial involving six students. The module's initial practicality was observed using an implementation observation sheet during the user trial. The results showed that the developed module met the feasibility criteria based on expert validation and demonstrated good initial practicality based on observations of module implementation during the user trial. Therefore, the latent heat experimental module with a STEM approach assisted by a data logger is feasible for use as a supporting instructional material for teaching latent heat in senior high school physics.
