Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Trainer Sistem Pengisian dan Pengapian Electronic Ignition System (EIS) berbasis TroubleShooting Simulator sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Teknologi Sepeda Motor di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Pengembangan Trainer dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan media pembelajaran di laboratorium yang belum mengintegrasikan sistem pengisian dan sistem pengapian elektronik serta belum menyediakan simulasi gangguan untuk melatih kemampuan TroubleShooting mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Tahap Define meliputi analisis kurikulum, peserta didik, dan kebutuhan; tahap Design meliputi perancangan Trainer; tahap Develop mencakup pembuatan produk, validasi ahli, revisi, dan uji kelayakan; sedangkan tahap Disseminate dilakukan secara terbatas di Laboratorium Otomotif Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FT UNJ. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi dan angket respons pengguna, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trainer memperoleh persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 100%, ahli media sebesar 96%, dan uji kelayakan mahasiswa sebesar 91,3%, yang seluruhnya termasuk kategori sangat layak. Trainer dilengkapi titik ukur dan modul TroubleShooting berbasis ESP32 sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mendukung praktik dan diagnosis sistem kelistrikan sepeda motor.***** This study aims to develop an Electronic Ignition System (EIS) Charging and Ignition System Trainer based on a TroubleShooting Simulator as a learning medium for the Motorcycle Technology course in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The development of the Trainer was motivated by the limited availability of learning media in the laboratory, nor provided fault simulation features to enhance students' TroubleShooting competencies. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The Define stage involved curriculum, learner, and needs analyses. The Design stage focused on designing the Trainer. The Develop stage included product development, expert validation, product revision, and feasibility testing. The Disseminate stage was conducted on a limited scale in the Automotive Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires and user response questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods based on percentage scores. The results indicated that the developed Trainer achieved a material expert validation score of 100%, a media expert validation score of 96%, and a student feasibility assessment score of 91.3%, all of which were categorized as highly feasible. The Trainer is equipped with measurement test points and an ESP32-based TroubleShooting module, making it suitable for use as an instructional medium to support practical learning and diagnostic skills in motorcycle electrical systems.
