Abstract

Kulit wajah merupakan bagian tubuh yang paling sering terpapar sinar ultraviolet, polusi, dan radikal bebas sehingga rentan mengalami kerusakan, kehilangan kelembapan, serta penuaan dini. Penggunaan kosmetik berbahan alami menjadi alternatif yang semakin diminati karena dianggap lebih aman, mengandung senyawa bioaktif yang bermanfaat bagi kulit, dan praktis. Salah satu bentuk sediaan yang praktis dan mudah diaplikasikan adalah masker wajah serbuk. Daging buah alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) mengandung vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, flavonoid, protein, dan asam lemak tak jenuh yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan dan pelembap alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan masker wajah serbuk simplisia daging buah alpukat serta mengevaluasi mutu fisiknya untuk menentukan formula terbaik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen laboratorium menggunakan tiga formula yang mengandung serbuk simplisia daging buah alpukat berkonsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, dan 50%. Formula dievaluasi melalui uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, dan stabilitas fisik dipercepat. Data hasil pengujian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk membandingkan karakteristik setiap formula dan menentukan formula yang memenuhi persyaratan mutu fisik masker wajah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh formula berbentuk serbuk halus, homogen, beraroma khas alpukat, serta mengalami peningkatan intensitas warna seiring bertambahnya konsentrasi simplisia. Nilai pH seluruh formula berada pada rentang 5,4–6,0, sedangkan daya sebar memenuhi persyaratan, yaitu 5–7 cm. Selama penyimpanan dipercepat tidak ditemukan perubahan warna, aroma, bentuk, maupun homogenitas sehingga menunjukkan stabilitas fisik yang baik. Formula 2 (25%) memberikan karakteristik fisik paling optimal karena memiliki warna hijau terang, pH sesuai dengan pH kulit, daya sebar ideal 5,5–5,8 cm, homogenitas baik, dan stabil selama penyimpanan, sehingga dipilih sebagai formula terbaik secara keseluruhan. **** Facial skin is the part of the body most frequently exposed to ultraviolet light, pollution, and free radicals, making it susceptible to damage, moisture loss, and premature aging. The use of natural cosmetics is becoming an increasingly popular alternative because it is considered safer, contains bioactive compounds beneficial to the skin, and is practical. One practical and easy-to-apply preparation is a powdered facial mask. Avocado pulp (Persea americana Mill.) contains vitamins A, C, E, flavonoids, protein, and unsaturated fatty acids, which have the potential to act as antioxidants and natural moisturizers. This study aimed to formulate a powdered facial mask made from avocado pulp and evaluate its physical qualities to determine the best formula. This study was a laboratory experiment using three formulas containing avocado pulp powder at concentrations of 12.5%, 25%, and 50%. The formulas were evaluated through organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, and accelerated physical stability. The test data were analyzed descriptively to compare the characteristics of each formula and determine which formula met the physical quality requirements for the face mask. The results showed that all formulas were in the form of fine, homogeneous powder, with a distinctive avocado aroma, and experienced an increase in color intensity as the concentration of the simplicia increased. The pH value of all formulas was in the range of 5.4– 6.0, while the spreadability met the requirements, namely 5–7 cm. During accelerated storage, no changes in color, aroma, shape, or homogeneity were found, thus indicating good physical stability. Formula 2 (25%) provided the most optimal physical characteristics because it had a bright green color, a pH that matched the skin's pH, an ideal spreadability of 5.5–5.8 cm, good homogeneity, and was stable during storage, so it was selected as the best formula overall.
