Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media simulator pengelasan Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) portabel Lowcost sebagai media pembelajaran bagi peserta pelatihan disabilitas sensorik serta mengetahui kelayakan media yang dikembangkan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan hingga tahap develop. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa media simulator pengelasan fisik berbasis sensor yang memberikan real-time Feedback melalui modul LED dan delayed Feedback melalui dashboard evaluasi berbasis Python. Kelayakan produk dinilai melalui dua tahap uji ahli media dan satu tahap uji pengguna yang melibatkan peserta pelatihan disabilitas sensorik di Sentra Terpadu Inten Soewono. Hasil uji ahli media tahap pertama memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 89,00% dan meningkat menjadi 99,00% setelah dilakukan penyempurnaan produk. Hasil uji pengguna memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 91,93%, sehingga media simulator termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Layak. Hasil evaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa peserta dengan progres praktik pengelasan yang lebih tinggi cenderung memperoleh nilai simulasi yang lebih baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, media simulator pengelasan SMAW portabel Lowcost yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dasar untuk mendukung proses pelatihan pengelasan yang lebih aman, ekonomis, dan inklusif bagi peserta pelatihan disabilitas sensorik. ***** This study aims to develop a lowcost portable Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding simulator media as a learning medium for sensory disability trainees and to determine the feasibility of the developed media. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. This research was carried out until the development stage. The product developed is in the form of a sensor-based physical welding simulator media that provides real-time Feedback through LED modules and delayed Feedback through a Python-based evaluation dashboard. The feasibility of the product was assessed through two stages of media expert tests and one stage of user tests involving sensory disability training participants at the Inten Soewano Integrated Center. The results of the first stage of the media expert test obtained a feasibility percentage of 89.00% and increased to 99.00% after product improvement. The results of the user test obtained a feasibility percentage of 91.32%, so that the simulator media is included in the Very Feasible category. The results of the evaluation also showed that participants with higher welding practice progress tended to obtain better simulation scores. Based on the results of the study, the Lowcost portable SMAW welding simulator media developed is stated to be very feasible to be used as a basic learning medium to support a safer, more economical, and inclusive welding training process for sensory disability training participants.
