Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan analisis wacana kritis pidato Presiden Prabowo Subianto pada HUT ke-17 Partai Gerindra menggunakan model Norman Fairclough. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa ujaran dalam pidato Presiden Prabowo Subianto pada HUT ke-17 Partai Gerindra yang diunggah melalui kanal YouTube Metro TV. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak dan catat, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough yang terdiri atas dimensi teks, praktik wacana, dan sosiokultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dimensi teks ditemukan penggunaan pilihan kosakata, struktur kalimat, metafora, dan modalitas yang merepresentasikan relasi kekuasaan, seeperti “mencekek” dan “kuasai”. Pada praktik wacana, pidato diproduksi sebagai media komunikasi politik yang didistribusikan melalui media digital dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat luas. Pada dimensi sosiokultural, wacana dipengaruhi oleh konteks politik Indonesia setelah Pemilu 2024, agenda pemerintahan baru, dan nilai nasionalisme, persatuan, serta pemberantasan korupsi. Dengan demikian, pidato ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi politik, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen pembentukan legitimasi kekuasaan, penyebaran ideologi, dan penguatan hegemoni melalui praktik kebahasaan. Kata Kunci: analisis wacana kritis, Norman Fairclough, pidato politik, Prabowo Subianto, relasi kuasa. ***** This research aims to describe the critical discourse analysis of President Prabowo Subianto's speech on the 17th anniversary of the Gerindra Party using Norman Fairclough's model. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The data consists of utterances in President Prabowo Subianto's speech on the 17th anniversary of the Gerindra Party, which was uploaded on the Metro TV YouTube channel. The data was collected using the listening and note-taking technique and then analyzed using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis model, which consists of text, discourse practice, and sociocultural dimensions. The research results show that in the text dimension, the use of vocabulary choices, sentence structures, metaphors, and modalities that represent power relations, such as "squeeze" and "control," were found. In discourse practice, speeches serve as a medium of political communication that is distributed through digital media and consumed by the general public. In the sociocultural dimension, discourse is influenced by the political context of Indonesia after the 2024 elections, the agenda of the new government, and the values of nationalism, unity, and anti-corruption. Thus, this speech not only serves as a means of political communication but also as an instrument for establishing power legitimacy, spreading ideology, and strengthening hegemony through linguistic practices.
