Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur klausa relatif serta distribusi penggunaannya berdasarkan fungsi restriktif dan nonrestriktif dalam teks berita daring pada laman RRI Jakarta kategori Hukum dan Kriminal periode Januari 2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sintaksis. Data penelitian berupa klausa relatif bermarkah yang yang terdapat dalam berita kategori Hukum dan Kriminal periode Januari 2026. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) dan teknik catat, kemudian data dianalisis melalui tahap identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan 103 klausa relatif dari 93 data dalam 21 judul berita. Struktur klausa relatif dibentuk oleh nomina inti, penanda yang, dan klausa terikat, dengan empat posisi nomina inti, yaitu Subjek (S), Objek (O), Keterangan (K), dan Pelengkap (Pel), serta 14 pola struktur klausa terikat. Posisi nomina inti Objek (O) paling dominan, yaitu sebanyak 41 klausa (39,8%), sedangkan pola struktur klausa terikat P+K paling banyak ditemukan, yaitu sebanyak 27 klausa (27,2%). Berdasarkan fungsinya, klausa relatif restriktif ditemukan sebanyak 88 klausa (85,4%), sedangkan klausa relatif nonrestriktif sebanyak 15 klausa (14,6%). Dominasi klausa relatif restriktif menunjukkan bahwa klausa relatif dalam berita kategori Hukum dan Kriminal lebih banyak digunakan untuk membatasi dan memperjelas referen nomina yang berkaitan dengan fakta pemberitaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya kajian sintaksis bahasa Indonesia serta memberikan gambaran mengenai penggunaan klausa relatif sebagai strategi pemadatan informasi dalam wacana jurnalistik digital. Kata kunci: klausa relatif, restriktif, nonrestriktif, sintaksis, berita daring. ***** This study aims to describe the structure of relative clauses and the distribution of their use based on restrictive and non-restrictive functions in online news texts on the RRI Jakarta website, in the Legal and Criminal news category for the period of January 2026. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a syntactic approach. The data consist of relative clauses marked by "yang" found in Legal and Criminal news for the January 2026 period. Data were collected using the Free, Uninvolved Listening (Simak Bebas Libat Cakap/SBLC) technique and the note-taking technique, then analyzed through the stages of identification, classification, and description. The results show that 103 relative clauses were found in 93 data from 21 news headlines. The structure of relative clauses consists of a head noun, the marker "yang", and a bound clause, with four positions of the head noun, namely Subject (S), Object (O), Adverbial (K), and Complement (Pel), as well as 14 structural patterns of the bound clause. The Object (O) position was the most dominant, found in 41 clauses (39,8%), while the P+K pattern was the most frequent bound-clause structure, found in 27 clauses (27,2%). Based on function, restrictive relative clauses were found in 88 clauses (85,4%), while non-restrictive relative clauses were found in 15 clauses (14,6%). The dominance of restrictive relative clauses indicates that relative clauses in Legal and Criminal news are more often used to restrict and clarify noun referents related to reported facts. This research is expected to enrich the study of Indonesian syntax and provide an overview of the use of relative clauses as an information-compacting strategy in digital journalistic discourse.
