Abstract
Meningkatnya limbah plastik Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) memerlukan teknologi daur ulang yang sesuai untuk UMKM dan Bank Sampah. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang mesin injeksi plastik horizontal portabel, mengembangkan tiga alternatif desain, mengevaluasi desain menggunakan metode Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), serta menghasilkan Detail Engineering Drawing (DED), Bill of Material (BOM), dan estimasi biaya rancang bangun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi analisis Design for Manufacturing (DFM) dan Design for Assembly (DFA), perhitungan Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP), serta evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner berdasarkan aspek portabilitas, kebutuhan pengguna, keamanan, kemudahan perawatan, dan biaya pembuatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Opsi Desain 2 merupakan alternatif terbaik dengan 152 komponen, 31 proses manufaktur, 122 proses perakitan, serta memperoleh nilai evaluasi tertinggi sebesar 4,615. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain akhir berupa model assembly tiga dimensi, Detail Engineering Drawing (DED), Bill of Material (BOM), dan estimasi biaya rancang bangun sebagai acuan dalam proses manufaktur dan perakitan mesin injeksi plastik horizontal portabel untuk mendukung pemanfaatan limbah plastik PET pada skala UMKM dan Bank Sampah. ***** The increasing amount of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic waste has created a need for appropriate recycling technology for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and waste banks. This study aims to design a portable horizontal plastic injection machine, develop three design alternatives, evaluate the designs using the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) method, and produce Detailed Engineering Drawings (DED), a Bill of Materials (BOM), and an estimated production cost. The research method includes Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses, production cost estimation, and questionnaire-based evaluation covering portability, user requirements, safety, ease of maintenance, and manufacturing cost. The results indicate that Design Option 2 is the best alternative, consisting of 152 components, 31 manufacturing processes, and 122 assembly processes, with the highest evaluation score of 4,615. The final output of this study includes a 3D assembly model, Detailed Engineering Drawings (DED), a Bill of Materials (BOM), and an estimated production cost, which can serve as technical references for the manufacturing and assembly of a portable horizontal plastic injection machine to support the recycling of PET plastic waste for MSMEs and waste banks.
