Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik putaran keluaran, efisiensi RPM, kehilangan putaran (RPM Loss), serta perbandingan kinerja sistem transmisi Propeller shaft dan Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) pada motor listrik. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan variasi putaran input sebesar 800 rpm, 1000 rpm, 1200 rpm, 1400 rpm, 1500 rpm, dan 1800 rpm. Pengukuran putaran dilakukan menggunakan tachometer digital DT-2234C+ dan setiap variasi dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pengulangan. Data hasil pengukuran dianalisis menggunakan nilai rata-rata (mean), standar deviasi (SD), RPM Loss, dan efisiensi RPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan putaran input diikuti oleh peningkatan putaran output pada kedua sistem. Rata-rata putaran output Propeller shaft meningkat dari 756,27 rpm pada 800 rpm menjadi 1577,53 rpm pada 1800 rpm, sedangkan CVT meningkat dari 701,77 rpm menjadi 1528,57 rpm. Efisiensi RPM Propeller shaft berada pada rentang 87,64%–94,53%, sedangkan CVT berada pada rentang 84,92%–87,72%. RPM Loss Propeller shaft berada pada rentang 43,73–222,47 rpm, sedangkan CVT berada pada rentang 98,23–271,43 rpm. Hasil pengulangan menunjukkan nilai standar deviasi sebesar 0,15–0,25 rpm pada Propeller shaft dan 0,06–0,30 rpm pada CVT. Berdasarkan parameter RPM yang diukur, Propeller shaft menghasilkan putaran output yang lebih tinggi, RPM Loss yang lebih rendah, dan efisiensi RPM yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan CVT pada seluruh variasi putaran input. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Propeller shaft memiliki kemampuan penerusan putaran yang lebih tinggi berdasarkan parameter RPM pada kondisi pengujian yang dilakukan. Kata kunci: tachometer, putaran keluaran, kehilangan putaran, standar deviasi, motor listrik. ***** This study aims to analyze output speed characteristics, RPM efficiency, RPM loss, and the comparative performance of propeller shaft and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) systems in an electric motor. The research was conducted experimentally using input speeds of 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1500, and 1800 rpm. Speed measurements were taken using a DT-2234C+ digital tachometer, with each variation repeated three times. The measured data were analyzed using mean values, standard deviation (SD), RPM loss, and RPM efficiency. The results indicate that increasing the input speed led to an increase in output speed for both systems. The average output speed for the propeller shaft system rose from 756.27 rpm at an input of 800 rpm to 1577.53 rpm at 1800 rpm, while the CVT system increased from 701.77 rpm to 1528.57 rpm. RPM efficiency ranged from 87.64% to 94.53% for the propeller shaft and from 84.92% to 87.72% for the CVT. RPM loss ranged from 43.73 to 222.47 rpm for the propeller shaft and from 98.23 to 271.43 rpm for the CVT. Repeated measurements showed standard deviation values of 0.15–0.25 rpm for the propeller shaft and 0.06–0.30 rpm for the CVT. Based on the measured RPM parameters, the propeller shaft system yielded higher output speeds, lower RPM loss, and higher RPM efficiency compared to the CVT across all input speed variations. The study concludes that the propeller shaft system demonstrates superior rotational transmission capability—based on RPM parameters—under the tested conditions.
