Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Trainer Kit Air Conditioner beserta modul praktikum (jobsheet) sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Praktikum Teknik Pendingin dan Tata Udara Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi trainer yang telah usang, mengalami kerusakan pada beberapa komponen, serta belum sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan pembelajaran di industri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa Trainer Kit Air Conditioner dan modul praktikum yang disusun berdasarkan Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS). Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji coba perorangan dan uji coba terbatas kepada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trainer Kit Air Conditioner berhasil dikembangkan dan seluruh komponen sistem berfungsi dengan baik sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran praktik. Hasil validasi para ahli menunjukkan bahwa trainer dan modul praktikum berada pada kategori sangat layak, sedangkan hasil uji coba kepada mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran mudah digunakan, membantu memahami konsep sistem pendingin, serta meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran praktikum. Dengan demikian, Trainer Kit Air Conditioner yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Praktikum Teknik Pendingin dan Tata Udara. ***** This study aims to develop an Air Conditioner Trainer Kit and a practical module (jobsheet) as instructional media for the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practical Course in the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The research was motivated by the condition of the existing trainer, which had become outdated, experienced component failures, and no longer met current technological developments and industrial learning needs. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The developed product includes an Air Conditioner Trainer Kit and a practical module designed based on the Semester Learning Plan (RPS). Product validation was carried out by subject matter experts and media experts, followed by individual and limited trials involving university students. The results indicate that the Air Conditioner Trainer Kit was successfully developed, with all system components functioning properly and suitable for practical learning activities. Expert validation showed that both the trainer and the practical module were categorized as highly feasible, while student trials demonstrated that the learning media were easy to use, improved understanding of refrigeration system concepts, and enhanced the effectiveness of practical learning. Therefore, the developed Air Conditioner Trainer Kit is considered suitable for use as instructional media in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practical Course.
