Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Namun kenyataannya, kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut adalah melalui penerapan model pembelajaran POGIL berbantuan E-LKPD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran POGIL berbantuan E-LKPD ekosistem terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan desain Nonequivalent Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 70 peserta didik kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Jakarta yang terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes essay kemampuan berpikir kritis dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Data tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran POGIL berbantuan E-LKPD lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan mengembangkan pembelajaran POGIL berbantuan E-LKPD melalui kegiatan diskusi yang lebih aktif dan pertanyaan penuntun yang lebih terarah untuk mengoptimalkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.***** Critical thinking skills are among the most important skills that need to be developed in biology education. However, in reality, students’ critical thinking skills remain relatively low. One approach to improving these skills is through the implementation of the POGIL learning model supported by E-LKPD. This study aims to determine the effect of the POGIL learning model supported by E-LKPD ecosystem on students’ critical thinking skills. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 70 10th-grade students at a public high school in Jakarta, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research instruments included a critical thinking skills essay test and an observation sheet to assess the implementation of the learning process. The critical thinking ability test data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that the POGIL learning model supported by E-LKPD is more effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills. For future research, it is recommended to further develop POGIL-based learning supported by E-LKPD through more active discussion activities and more focused guiding questions to optimize the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills.
