Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis teks 17+8 Tuntutan Rakyat yang muncul sebagai respon terhadap kondisi sosial-politik Indonesia pada Agustus–September 2025. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur wacana, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial yang terdapat dalam teks 17+8 Tuntutan Rakyat berdasarkan model analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Sumber data penelitian berupa teks 17+8 Tuntutan Rakyat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Data dianalisis melalui tahap identifikasi, klasifikasi, interpretasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan tiga dimensi analisis Van Dijk, yaitu struktur teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi struktur teks, makrostruktur berpusat pada tema tuntutan masyarakat terhadap negara, superstruktur disusun melalui pendahuluan dan isi yang membedakan tuntutan mendesak dengan agenda reformasi jangka panjang, sedangkan mikrostruktur ditandai oleh dominasi kalimat imperatif, penggunaan diksi institusional, serta unsur retoris yang memperkuat urgensi tuntutan. Pada dimensi kognisi sosial ditemukan cara pandang pembuat teks yang meyakini bahwa negara memiliki tanggung jawab untuk menjamin keadilan, transparansi, perlindungan hak warga negara, dan reformasi institusi. Adapun pada dimensi konteks sosial, teks lahir dalam situasi meningkatnya kritik masyarakat terhadap berbagai persoalan demokrasi, penegakan hukum, transparansi pemerintahan, serta relasi antara masyarakat sipil dan institusi negara.*****This research analyzes the 17+8 People's Demands text that emerged in response to the socio-political conditions in Indonesia in August–September 2025. The purpose of this research is to describe the discourse structure, social cognition, and social context found in the 17+8 People's Demands text based on Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The data source for the research is the 17+8 People's Demands text. Data collection techniques were carried out thru documentation study and literature study. Data is analyzed thru the stages of identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing based on Van Dijk's three dimensions of analysis, namely text structure, social cognition, and social context. The research results show that in the dimension of text structure, the macrostructure centers on the theme of societal demands on the state, the superstructure is composed of an introduction and content that differentiate urgent demands from long-term reform agendas, while the microstructure is characterized by the dominance of imperative sentences, the use of institutional diction, and rhetorical elements that reinforce the urgency of the demands. In the dimension of social cognition, the text creators' perspective is found to believe that the state has a responsibility to ensure justice, transparency, protection of citizens' rights, and institutional reform. In the dimension of social context, the text emerges in a situation of increasing public criticism of various issues related to democracy, law enforcement, government transparency, and the relationship between civil society and state institutions.
