Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai puisi “Lied vom Kindsein” karya Peter Handke berdasarkan teori Semiotika Riffaterre. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji makna yang terkandung dalam puisi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan berdasar pada tahapan analisis puisi Michael Riffaterre. Tahapan analisis tersebut adalah pembacaan heuristik, analisis ketidaklangsungan ekspresi, pembacaan hermeneutik, identifikasi matriks, model dan varian, serta identifikasi hipogram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa makna puisi “Lied vom Kindsein” karya Peter Handke adalah keterkaitan kehidupan manusia ketika masih anak-anak dan sudah dewasa. Keterkaitan tersebut ditunjukkan dengan keberlanjutan sifat manusia dengan reaksi yang berbeda dan keberlanjutan tindakan yang dilakukan, tetapi atas dasar yang berbeda. Perubahan prioritas yang terjadi pada diri manusia didasari pengaruh internal, seperti pola pikir, prinsip, dan moral yang dianut oleh manusia dan pengaruh eksternal, seperti lingkungan sosial, pekerjaan dan pengalaman hidup. Perubahan sifat dan sikap yang terjadi pada manusia ketika dewasa tidak serta merta meninggalkan seluruh aspek yang dimiliki atau terjadi ketika masih anak-anak, sehingga manusia tidak pernah sepenuhnya berubah ketika mereka tumbuh dewasa, melainkan tujuan dan prioritas manusia saja yang beralih atau berubah. Kata Kunci: makna puisi; Peter Handke; semiotika Riffaterre ***** This study examines Peter Handke’s poem ‘Lied vom Kindsein’ based on Riffaterre’s theory of semiotics. The aim of this study is to analyse the meaning contained within the poem. This study employs a qualitative research method based on Michael Riffaterre’s stages of poetic analysis. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis, supported by Riffaterre’s semiotic approach, which comprises several stages of analysis. The stages of analysis in this study are heuristic reading, analysis of the discontinuity of expression, hermeneutic reading, identification of matrices, models and variants, and identification of hypograms. The findings of this study indicate that the meaning of Peter Handke’s poem ‘Lied vom Kindsein’ lies in the connection between human life in childhood and adulthood. This connection is demonstrated by the continuity of human nature, albeit with different reactions, and the continuity of actions undertaken, albeit on different grounds. The shifts in priorities that occur within a person are driven by internal and external influences on human life. The changes in character and attitude that occur in people as they reach adulthood do not necessarily mean that they abandon all the traits they possessed or experiences they had during childhood; thus, people never change completely as they grow up, but rather it is their goals and priorities that shift or change.
