Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi kendaraan listrik mendorong inovasi dalam sistem transmisi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kenyamanan berkendara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang transmisi otomatis berbasis propeller shaft pada kendaraan listrik roda dua sebagai alternatif pengganti sistem transmisi konvensional. Desain dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Autodesk Inventor dengan pendekatan rekayasa desain dan analisis mekanis. Sistem transmisi yang dikembangkan merupakan hasil penggabungan antara mekanisme propeller shaft dan transmisi CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) sehingga diharapkan mampu menyalurkan daya secara lebih efisien tanpa kehilangan torsi signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan dan analisis, sistem transmisi ini berpotensi meningkatkan efisiensi penyaluran daya dan kestabilan torsi pada roda penggerak. Mekanisme propeller shaft dirancang untuk mengurangi potensi kehilangan energi akibat gesekan pada sistem rantai, sedangkan penerapan CVT diharapkan dapat menyesuaikan rasio transmisi secara otomatis terhadap perubahan beban dan kecepatan motor listrik. Secara keseluruhan, desain ini menunjukkan potensi untuk diterapkan pada kendaraan listrik roda dua karena menawarkan efisiensi mekanis yang lebih tinggi, tingkat keausan komponen yang lebih rendah, serta mendukung performa kendaraan yang lebih optimal. This study aims to design an automatic transmission system based on a propeller shaft for two-wheeled electric vehicles as an alternative to conventional transmission systems. The design process was carried out using Autodesk Inventor software with an engineering design and mechanical analysis approach. The proposed transmission system combines the propeller shaft mechanism and the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which is expected to deliver power more efficiently without significant torque loss. Based on the design and analysis results, the proposed transmission system has the potential to improve power transfer efficiency and torque stability at the drive wheel. The propeller shaft mechanism is designed to minimize possible energy losses caused by friction in chain-based systems, while the integration of CVT is expected to automatically adjust transmission ratios according to changes in load and motor speed. Overall, the design shows strong potential for application in two-wheeled electric vehicles, offering higher mechanical efficiency, reduced component wear, and improved overall performance.
