Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi yang terdapat pada novel Hon o Mamorou to Suru Neko no Hanashi dan prosedur penerjemahan yang digunakan untuk menerjemahkan gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi yang terdapat pada novel tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori prosedur penerjemahan oleh Newmark (1988) dan teori gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi oleh Sudjianto (2010). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi pustaka. Untuk mengumpulkan data digunakan teknik simak dengan teknik lanjutan catat, dan untuk menganalisis data digunakan teknik pilah unsur penentu. Berdasarkan data yang terkumpul terdapat 6 konjungsi yang termasuk ke dalam gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi dalam novel Hon o Mamorou to Suru Neko no Hanashi yaitu shikashi sebanyak 27 data, keredo sebanyak 1 data, keredomo sebanyak 34 data, soredemo sebanyak 7 data, daga sebanyak 8 data, dan demo sebanyak 19 data. Kemudian prosedur penerjemahan yang diberlakukan untuk menerjemahkan gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi dalam novel tersebut di antaranya adalah prosedur penerjemahan literal sebanyak 75 data, modulation sebanyak 7 data, expansion sebanyak 1 data, reduction sebanyak 7 data, dan couplet sebanyak 6 data, dimana keenam data tersebut merupakan gabungan dari dua prosedur transposition dengan modulation dan reduction dengan expansion. ***** This study aims to identify the types of gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi found in the novel entitled Hon o Mamorou to Suru Neko no Hanashi and the translation procedures used to translate the gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi found in the Indonesian-translated version of said novel. This study uses theory of translation procedures by Newmark (1988) and theory of gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi by Sudjianto (2010). This study employs a qualitative literature review method. Data were collected using the observation technique combined with note-taking, and were analyzed using the key element sorting technique. Based on the collected data, there are six conjunctions classified as gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi in the novel Hon o Mamorou to Suru Neko no Hanashi, which are shikashi (27), keredo (1), keredomo (34), soredemo (7), daga (8), and demo (19). The translation procedures applied to translate the gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi in the Hon o Mamorou to Suru Neko no Hanashi novel include literal translation (75), modulation (7), expansion (1), reduction (7), and couplet (6)—which is a combination of the transposition procedure with modulation procedure and the reduction procedure with expansion procedure.
