Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kestabilan wilayah pesisir, namun perubahan karakteristik sedimen dan kondisi lingkungan diduga memengaruhi kerapatan vegetasi mangrove di Pulau Pari, Kepulauan Seribu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis mangrove, menganalisis kerapatan vegetasi, mengetahui karakteristik sedimen dan parameter lingkungan, serta menganalisis hubungan karakteristik sedimen dan parameter lingkungan terhadap kerapatan mangrove. Penelitian dilakukan pada tiga stasiun menggunakan metode transek garis dan petak dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data vegetasi dianalisis melalui parameter kerapatan jenis dan relatif, frekuensi jenis dan relatif, dominansi jenis dan relatif, basal area, dan indeks nilai penting (INP), sedangkan hubungan antara karakteristik sedimen dan parameter lingkungan dengan kerapatan mangrove dianalisis menggunakan regresi Poisson berbasis Generalized Linear Model (GLM) pada RStudio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan tiga spesies mangrove, yaitu Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, dan Sonneratia alba, dengan dominasi famili Rhizophoraceae. Kerapatan mangrove tergolong sedang pada Stasiun 1 dan sangat padat pada Stasiun 2 serta Stasiun 3. Tekstur sedimen diklasifikasikan menjadi Sand, Clay Sand, dan Silty Sand. Hasil regresi Poisson menunjukkan bahwa kerapatan R. mucronata dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh karakteristik sedimen dan parameter lingkungan (p < 0,05), sedangkan kerapatan Rhizophora stylosa dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh tekstur sedimen, densitas sedimen, nitrat sedimen, suhu, dan pH (p < 0,05). Analisis pada Sonneratia alba tidak dapat diinterpretasikan karena jumlah individu yang rendah sehingga model regresi tidak menghasilkan estimasi yang stabil. Variasi karakteristik sedimen dan kondisi lingkungan berperan dalam membentuk pola kerapatan vegetasi mangrove di Pulau Pari. ***** Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in maintaining the stability of coastal areas, yet changes in sediment characteristics and environmental conditions are presumed to influence mangrove vegetation density on Pari Island, Kepulauan Seribu. This study aimed to identify mangrove species, analyze mangrove vegetation density, determine sediment characteristics and environmental parameters, and analyze the relationship between sediment characteristics, environmental parameters, and mangrove density. The research was conducted at three stations on Pari Island using line-transect and quadrat method with purposive sampling. Vegetation data were analyzed using vegetation density, species and relative density, species and relative frequency, species and relative dominance, basal area, and the Importance Value Index (IVI). The relationships between sediment characteristics, environmental parameters, and mangrove density were analyzed using Poisson regression based on a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) in RStudio. Three mangrove species were identified, namely Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, and Sonneratia alba, with Rhizophoraceae as the dominant family. Mangrove density was moderate at Station 1 and very dense at Stations 2 and 3. Sediment characteristics were classified as Sand, Clayey Sand, and Silty Sand Poisson regression analysis indicated that the density of Rhizophora mucronata was significantly influenced by sediment characteristics and environmental parameters (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the density of Rhizophora stylosa was significantly affected by sediment texture, sediment density, sediment nitrate, temperature, and pH (p < 0.05). The regression model for Sonneratia alba could not be interpreted because few individuals produced an unstable model.
