Abstract

**** Psychological dating violence can have various negative impacts; however, some survivors are able to experience post-traumatic growth following such experiences. This study aimed to examine the effect of resilience on post-traumatic growth among emerging adult women who had experienced psychological dating violence. This study employed a quantitative non-experimental design. A total of 161 participants were recruited using purposive sampling. Resilience was measured using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), post-traumatic growth was measured using the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), and psychological dating violence was screened using the Psychological Aggression subscale of the Revised Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS2). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicated that resilience had a positive and significant effect on post-traumatic growth (p < .001), accounting for 45.3% of the variance. These findings suggest that resilience is one of the factors contributing to the development of post-traumatic growth.
