Abstract

Pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Kelistrikan Kendaraan Ringan (PKKR) di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) seringkali masih bergantung pada metode ceramah satu arah yang berpusat pada guru (teacher-centered). Hal ini menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi dan keterlibatan aktif siswa, yang berdampak langsung pada pencapaian hasil belajar yang belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas implementasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) di SMK Negeri 39 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 62 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI TKR 1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan model PBL dan kelas XI TKR 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur ranah kognitif pada level C3 hingga C6, lembar observasi rating scale untuk ranah psikomotorik, serta kuesioner skala Likert untuk mengukur motivasi belajar. Tahapan analisis data mencakup uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample T-test, dan uji efektivitas melalui analisis N-Gain. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Rata-rata nilai posttest kognitif, capaian praktik psikomotorik, serta tingkat motivasi belajar pada kelas eksperimen terbukti lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Analisis N-Gain juga mengonfirmasi bahwa penerapan PBL memberikan peningkatan yang lebih efektif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi maupun hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Kelistrikan Kendaraan Ringan siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 39 Jakarta. This causes low student motivation and active involvement, which directly impacts learning outcomes that have not met the Learning Objective Mastery Criteria (KKTP). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the motivation and learning outcomes of 11th-grade Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) students at SMK Negeri 39 Jakarta. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 62 students divided into two classes, namely class XI TKR 1 as the experimental group using the PBL model and class XI TKR 2 as the control group using conventional methods. Data collection was conducted using multiple-choice tests to measure the cognitive domain at levels C3 to C6, a rating scale observation sheet for the psychomotor domain, and a Likert scale questionnaire to measure learning motivation. Data analysis stages included normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test, and effectiveness testing through N-Gain analysis. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The average cognitive posttest scores, psychomotor practical achievements, and learning motivation levels in the experimental class were proven to be higher than those in the control class. The N-Gain analysis also confirmed that the application of PBL provided a more effective improvement. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on improving motivation and learning outcomes in the Light Vehicle Electrical Maintenance subject for 11th-grade students at SMK Negeri 39 Jakarta.
