Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelelahan akademik dan keterlibatan sekolah pada peserta didik SMA Negeri di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Responden penelitian berjumlah 527 peserta didik yang diperoleh melalui teknik convenience sampling dari 10 SMA Negeri di DKI Jakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah School Burnout Inventory (SBI) untuk mengukur kelelahan akademik dan School Engagement Measure (SEM)-MacArthur untuk mengukur keterlibatan sekolah. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor kelelahan akademik peserta didik cenderung rendah (M = 25,29 < M teoritik = 31,5), sedangkan rata-rata skor keterlibatan sekolah peserta didik cenderung tinggi (M = 70,58 > M teoritik = 57). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman’s rho menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kelelahan akademik dan keterlibatan sekolah (ρ = -0,402; p < 0,001), dengan kekuatan hubungan berada pada tingkat sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan skor kelelahan akademik yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki skor keterlibatan sekolah yang lebih rendah. Dengan demikian, kelelahan akademik merupakan salah satu variabel yang berkaitan dengan keterlibatan sekolah peserta didik. ***** This study aimed to determine the relationship between school burnout and school engagement among public senior high school students in DKI Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The respondents consisted of 527 students obtained through convenience sampling from 10 public senior high schools in DKI Jakarta. The instruments used were the School Burnout Inventory (SBI) to measure school burnout and the School Engagement Measure (SEM)-MacArthur to measure school engagement. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that students’ school burnout tended to be low (M = 25.29 < theoretical M = 31.5), while students’ school engagement tended to be high (M = 70.58 > theoretical M = 57). The results of the Spearman’s rho correlation test showed a significant negative relationship between school burnout and school engagement (ρ = -0.402; p < 0.001), with the strength of the relationship being moderate. These findings indicate that students with higher school burnout scores tend to have lower school engagement scores. Therefore, school burnout is one of the variables associated with students’ school engagement.
