Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis murid pada materi sistem saraf serta keterbatasan bahan ajar yang mendukung pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang valid dan layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid SMA pada materi sistem saraf. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) menggunakan model ADDIE. Uji efektivitas menggunakan desain One Group Pre-test – Post-test. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas validator ahli materi, media dan bahasa, guru biologi dan murid kelas XI. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respons guru dan murid, serta instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis CTL yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori sangat valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli. Respons guru dan murid terhadap e-modul menunjukkan kategori sangat layak sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid setelah menggunakan e-modul biologi berbasis CTL dengan perolehan N-Gain Score sebesar 0,51 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis CTL pada materi sistem saraf yang dikembangkan valid dan layak digunakan serta berpeluang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid SMA. ***** This study was motivated by the low level of critical thinking skills among students in the topic of the nervous system, as well as the limited availability of teaching materials that support contextual learning. The aim of this study was to develop a valid and feasible e-module based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to enhance senior high school students' critical thinking skills on the nervous system topic. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The effectiveness of the developed e-module was examined using a one-group pre-test – post-test design. The research subjects included material, media, and language validators, a biology teacher, and eleventh-grade students. The instruments used consisted of expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and critical thinking ability test instruments. Data analysis was performed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings revealed that the CTL-based e-module developed in this study was categorized as highly valid based on expert validation results. Furthermore, teacher and student responses indicated that the e-module fell into the highly feasible category, confirming its suitability for use in the learning process. The results also demonstrated an improvement in students' critical thinking skills after utilizing the CTL-based biology e-module, with an N-Gain Score of 0.51, which falls into the medium category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the CTL-based e-module on the nervous system topic is both valid and feasible for use, and shows potential for enhancing senior high school students' critical thinking skills.
