Abstract

Keterampilan kolaborasi merupakan salah satu keterampilan abad ke-21 yang penting dimiliki murid sebagai dasar dalam mendukung kemampuan komunikasi, berpikir kritis, dan kreativitas. Keterampilan kolaborasi murid dalam pembelajaran masih tergolong rendah sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi melalui penerapan pembelajaran yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif murid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode praktikum dengan pendekatan discovery learning terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi murid pada pembelajaran bioteknologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan posttest only control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 murid pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes keterampilan kolaborasi yang merupakan rata-rata hasil skor angket dan lembar observasi keterampilan kolaborasi berdasarkan aspek Child and Saw. Hasil uji hipotesis melalui uji independent sample T-test pada α = 0,05 menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan metode praktikum dengan pendekatan discovery learning terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi murid. Penerapan metode praktikum dengan pendekatan discovery learning memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan keterampilan kolaborasi murid pada pembelajaran bioteknologi. ***** Collaboration skills are one of the essential 21st-century skills that students need to develop as a foundation for supporting communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Student’s collaboration skills in the classroom remain relatively low, necessitating efforts to enhance these skills through the implementation of teaching methods that encourage active student engagement. This study aims to analyze the effect of the practicum method in biotechnology learning using a discovery learning approach on students’ collaboration skills. The research method used was a quasi-experimental study with a posttest-only control group design. The research sample consisted of 30 students in the experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a collaborative skills test instrument which is the average of the questionnaire scores and the collaborative skills observation sheet based on Child and Saw’s aspects. The results of the hypothesis test using an independent samples t-test at α = 0.05 showed a significance value of 0.000. This indicates that the implementation of a practicum method using a discovery learning approach has a significant impact on students' collaboration skills. The implementation of the practicum method using the discovery learning approach has a positive effect on the development of students’ collaboration skills in biotechnology learning.
