Abstract

Peserta didik dengan hambatan intelektual memerlukan pembelajaran yang mendukung penguasaan keterampilan merawat diri untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu media yang digunakan adalah video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik dan mengidentifikasi efektivitas video pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan keterampilan merawat diri pada peserta didik dengan hambatan intelektual. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA. Artikel diperoleh melalui Google Scholar menggunakan Publish or Perish pada rentang tahun 2016–2026. Sebanyak 11 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis menggunakan sintesis naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian didominasi oleh desain penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek peserta didik hambatan intelektual sedang. Materi yang paling banyak diteliti adalah menggosok gigi, sedangkan video pembelajaran dan video animasi merupakan jenis video yang paling sering digunakan. Hampir seluruh penelitian menerapkan task analysis dalam pembelajaran. Seluruh artikel menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran efektif meningkatkan keterampilan merawat diri, dengan efektivitas yang paling konsisten pada materi menggosok gigi. ***** Students with intellectual disabilities require instruction that supports the mastery of self-care skills to enhance their independence in daily life. Instructional videos are one of the media used for this purpose. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and identify the effectiveness of instructional videos in improving self-care skills among students with intellectual disabilities. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on PRISMA guidelines. Articles were retrieved via Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish tool, covering the period from 2016 to 2026. Eleven articles meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed using narrative synthesis. The results indicate that the research was dominated by classroom action research designs involving students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Tooth brushing was the most frequently studied skill, while instructional videos and animated videos were the most commonly used video formats. Almost all studies incorporated task analysis into the instruction. All articles demonstrated that instructional videos were effective in improving self-care skills, with the most consistent effectiveness observed in the area of tooth brushing.
