Abstract

Waktu belajar mandiri mahasiswa untuk mengoperasikan alat butt fusion pada matakuliah Praktik Plumbing masih terbatas, dan sebagian mahasiswa mengalamikesulitan mengingat urutan langkah pengoperasian serta memahami parameterwaktu dan tekanan setelah kegiatan praktik. Pembelajaran yang masih didominasioleh presentasi dan penjelasan langsung dinilai belum cukup mendukungpembelajaran mandiri secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis video prosedural penggunaanalat butt fusion di Laboratorium Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas NegeriJakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D)dengan model 4D, yang terdiri atas tahap Define, Design, develop, dan disseminate.Pada tahap develop, prototype video diujicobakan kepada 30 mahasiswa sebagaidevelopmental testing sebelum divalidasi oleh 3 ahli materi dan 3 ahli media. Padatahap disseminate, video final diuji melalui validation testing kepada 6 mahasiswamelalui observasi praktik dan wawancara. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner,lembar observasi, dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatifdan kualitatif. Hasil developmental testing menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar90% (kategori Sangat Layak). Hasil validasi ahli materi meningkat dari 65,83%menjadi 83,33% (Sangat Layak), sedangkan validasi ahli media meningkat dari85,83% menjadi 95,83% (Sangat Layak) setelah revisi dua putaran. Hasil validationtesting menunjukkan bahwa video efektif membantu mahasiswa mengikuti alurbesar prosedur secara mandiri, meskipun masih ditemukan kendala pada aspekpengaturan tekanan yang memerlukan penyempurnaan lebih lanjut. Video telahdidistribusikan melalui kanal YouTube resmi Program Studi S1 Pendidikan TeknikBangunan FT UNJ. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa mediapembelajaran video prosedural penggunaan alat butt fusion yang dikembangkanlayak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar mandiri pada mata kuliah PraktikPlumbing di Laboratorium Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas NegeriJakarta. ***** Independent learning time for students to operate the butt fusion tool in thePlumbing Practice course remains limited, and some students have difficultyrecalling the sequence of operational steps and understanding time and pressureparameters after practical sessions. Learning that is still dominated bypresentations and direct explanations is considered insufficient to fully supportindependent learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop a learning mediumbased on a procedural video for the use of the butt fusion tool at the BuildingEngineering Education Laboratory, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study used theResearch and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model, consisting of theDefine, Design, develop, and disseminate stages. In the develop stage, the videoprototype was tested on 30 students as developmental testing prior to validation by3 material experts and 3 media experts. In the disseminate stage, the final videowas tested through validation testing involving 6 students through practicalobservation and interviews. Data were collected through questionnaires,observation sheets, and interviews, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitativedescriptive methods. The developmental testing results showed a feasibility level of90% (Very Feasible category). Material expert validation increased from 65.83%to 83.33% (Very Feasible), while media expert validation increased from 85.83%to 95.83% (Very Feasible) after two rounds of revision. The validation testingresults indicated that the video effectively helped students follow the overallprocedural flow independently, although challenges remained in the pressureadjustment aspect, which requires further refinement. The video has beendistributed through the official YouTube channel of the S1 Building EngineeringEducation Study Program, UNJ. Based on these results, it is concluded that thedeveloped procedural video-based learning medium for the use of the butt fusiontool is feasible for use as an independent learning resource in the PlumbingPractice course at the Building Engineering Education Laboratory, UniversitasNegeri Jakarta.
