Abstract

Kata Kunci: komunikasi lintas fungsi, komunikasi organisasi, pola komunikasi **** This study aims to analyze the organizational communication patterns between the Sales Team and the Operation Team during the implementation of the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum, identify the communication barriers encountered, and examine the efforts made to overcome them. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving four informants who were directly involved in the exhibition management process. Data analysis was conducted using NVivo 14 based on the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The findings indicate that communication between the Sales Team and the Operation Team was carried out flexibly through direct communication for Operational needs and hierarchical communication for processes requiring approval. The communication barriers identified include technical and communication media constraints, human resource conditions and capacity, miscommunication, and differences in message interpretation. Efforts to overcome these barriers include regular coordination and evaluation, the utilization of communication media, and information standardization. This study is expected to provide input for companies in improving the effectiveness of organizational communication in exhibition management. Keywords: cross-functional communication, organizational communication, communication patterns
