Abstract

***** The purpose of this research to know the existence the correlation between Operating cash flow with Dividend Payout Ratio in companies listed at Index Kompas100. The population of this research are 35 companies, but the writer only consider 33 companies as the sample. The research had been done in Pusat Referensi Pasar Modal (PRPM) in second floor of Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) at Jenderal Sudirman Street Kav.52-53 South Jakarta 12190 and it was done on March until May 2008. The method that used is survey by correlation approach using expost facto data. This research is aimed to explained and to choose the correlation between two variable. The correlation coefficient technique (Product Moment) from Pearson was used to analyze, before the analysis had been tested by requirements analysis. The result of the calculation by equivalence test is Ŷ = 35,70 + 0,03X (using Liliefors method) which a = 35,70 and b = 0,03, so every one point X will increase the point Y as much as 0,03 on constant number 35,70. From the normal appraisal error could be known as Lhitung = 0,1362 < Ltabel = 0,1542 so this sample is from population which normally distributed. The result of the calculation of hypothesis test Fhitung = 8,14 > Ftabel = 4,17 and the regression of linierity test is Fhitung = 1,73 < Ftabel = 19,46 so regression model Ŷ = 35,70 + 0,03X is means and linierity. Whereas the correlation coefficient technique rxy is 0,46 it means there is the correlation between operating cash flow with dividend payout ratio in Index Kompas-100 companies. The result of t-test is thitung = 2,89 > ttabel 1,70. The result shows the correlation between operating cash flow with dividend payout ratio in Index Kompas-100 companies. While from the calculation of the coefficient determination shows the contribution of the operating cash flow is 21,16% is influence of dividend payout ratio and 78,84% is influenced by another factor like profitability and solvability. The conclusion of this research is having a positive correlation between operating cash flow with dividend payout ratio in companies listed at Index Kompas100 Indonesia Stock Exchange.
