Abstract

AgPt thin film has been successfully synthesize using electrodeposition method. The AgPt photocatalysts deposited at 1.75 V deposited over 1 minute has the best photocatalytic performance because they were able to degrade methylene blue dyes by 31.76% and had the highest benefit capacitance of 2.96 F/g. This could be attributed to the large Ag composition of photocatalysts, which is 80.2% and because Ag has the effect of surface plasmon resonance which provides strong absorption of visible light and charge transfer on the surface of the photocatalyst and enhance its photocatalytic activity.
