Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pembentukan karakter siswa melalui program survival di SMP Plus Pewaris Peradaban Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas 8 dan kelas 9 yang mengikuti program survival yang berjumlah 48 siswa di SMP Plus Pewaris Peradaban. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa program survival ini membentuk karakter siswa melalui serangkaian kegiatan yang direncanakan dengan melibatkan banyak orang untuk tujuan dan harapan seseorang mampu mempertahankan diri atau mempertahankan hidup dalam keadaan kritis salah satu caranya yaitu mereka bekerja di tempat kegiatan program survival dilaksanakan. Adapun nilai karakter yang terbentuk diprogram survival terdapat 12 karakter meliputi; religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, bersahabat/komunikatif, tanggung jawab, sosialitas dan percaya diri. This study aims to find out the form of students’ character through survival program in SMP Plus Pewaris Peradaban academic year 2020. The population of this study is 8th grade and 9th grade students who follow the survival program with 48 students in the school. The study uses a descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that this survival program forms the character of the students through a series of planned activities involving many people to make the students able to defend themselves or sustain life in a critical condition. One of the ways is to let them work in the place where the survival program activities are carried out. The character values formed in the survival program include 12 characters; religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, curious, friendly/communicative, responsive, sociable, and self-confidence.
