Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan minat baca tentang civic knowledge di SMA Negeri 111 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik simple random sampling, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 212 siswa maka diambil sampel sebanyak 68 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 111 Jakarta. Dari hasil perhitungan uji normalitas, diperoleh nilai Signifikansi >0,05 atau 0,2 > 0,05 , uji linieritas diperoleh hasil (0,174 > 0,05) dengan demikian, kedua variabel dinyatakan berdistribusi normal dan linier. Pada pengujian hipotesis melalui Uji T, diperoleh nilai 8,590 (T hitung) > 1,997 (T table). Untuk melihat seberapa besar derajat hubungan antara variabel Motivasi Belajar dengan Minat Baca tentang civic knowledge, maka dilakukan uji korelasi Pearson , dari hasil pengujian tersebut diperoleh hasil 0,727, angka tersebut memiliki arti bahwa bentuk korelasi antar variabel adalah positif (+) dan antar variabel memiliki derajat hubungan yang kuat, dikatakan demikian karena melihat pada pedoman derajat hubungan, pada rentang nilai 0,60 – 0,80 masuk dalam kategori hubungan yang kuat. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara variabel Motivasi belajar dengan Minat Baca tentang Civic Knowledge. Hal tersebut mengartikan jika motivasi belajar tinggi disertai kenaikan minat baca tentang Civic Knowledge. This research is aimed to prove that there’s a correlation between learning motivation and reading interest about civic knowledge at SMA Negeri 111 Jakarta. This research uses a correlational method and quantitative approach. Simple random sampling is the sampling technique that is used for this research. The respondent is amount to 68 participants from 212 population total whose take from 11th class students. Based on the result, for normality test was obtained signification score >0,05 or 0,2 > 0,05, in linearity test was obtained 0,174 >0,05 , therefore the both variable are approved for test requirements analysis because the data distribution are normal and linear. In a hypothesis test through with T test, that was obtained 8,590 (T Count) > 1,997 (T Table). To see how strong correlation is in both variables, the Correlation Pearson Test indicated that score was obtained at 0,727 which means that correlation is positive form and the score classified that correlation is very strong. It's because, based on the guidelines degree of relationship classification , with range score 0,60-0,80 included in the very strong relationship category. The summary from analysis results is that there’s a positive correlation between learning motivation and read interest about civic knowledge.
