Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan negara multikulturalisme, sehingga berpotensi munculnya konflik yang tumbuh di dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Mulai dari kekerasan, intoleransi hingga paham radikalisme. Secara makro bentuk dari masalah tersebut menimbulkan konflik antar masyarakat. Sedangkan secara mikro masalah yang timbul yaitu maraknya paham intoleransi, bullying bahkan radikalisme yang mulai menjarah dunia pendidikan. Dari problematika yang timbul, Wahid Foundation berupaya untuk mencegah paham intoleransi, bullying dan radikalisme dengan mengkampanyekan budaya damai melalui program sekolah damai. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana membangun budaya damai di sekolah melalui program sekolah damai yang diinisiasi oleh Wahid Foundation. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka dengan teknik untuk memperoleh data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa program sekolah damai dibangun dengan adanya kekhawatiran maraknya tindakan intoleransi dan radikalisme yang mulai memasuki dunia pendidikan. Program ini dibentuk mengarah pada pembentukan kebijakan sekolah, praktik toleransi dan perdamaian serta pengelolaan organisasi kesiswaan. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan menerapkan program kajian rutin, narasi damai di media sosial, dan diskusi cerdas online. Proses evaluasi yang dilaksankan bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana program sekolah damai diimplementasikan di sekolah. Secara keseluruhan program sekolah damai yang dilakukan Wahid Foundation bertujuan untuk mendesain paradigma pendidikan pada tatanan kehidupan yang multikulturalisme. Sekolah Damai juga mengedepankan alternatif pengentasan masalah yang menggabungkan pemangku dan pelaku kebijakan sebagai pelau utama. Sekolah Damai mengajarkan peserta didik untuk melakukan perdamaian positif dan negative serta menjadikan komponen sekolah menjadi duta perdamaiain baik dilingkungan sekolah maupun di masyarakat. Ranging from violence, intolerance to radicalism. In macro form, the problem causes conflicts between people. While micro form problem that arise are the rise of understanding of intolerance, bullying and even radicalism that began to plunder the world of education. From the problem that arise, Wahid Foundation seeks to prevent intolerance, bullying and radicalism by campaigning for a culture of peace through peace school program. This research seeks to describe how to build peace culture through peace school program initiated by Wahid Foundation. This study uses library research method with technique to obtain data using interviews and documentation. Based on the analysis that has been did, the conclude are peace school program was built with the concern of the rampant intolerance and radicalism that began to enter in education world. The program was formed leading to the information of school policies, practice of tolerance and peace and management of student organization. Assistance is carried out by implementing routine study program, narrative peace at social media, and online smart discussion. The evaluation process carried out aims to determine the extent to which the peace school program is implemented at school. Overall, peace school program Wahid Foundation aims to design an educational paradigm in a multiculturalism order of life. The school peace also emphasizes alternative problem alleviation that combines stakeholders and policy maker as the main seafarers. Peace school also teach student to make positive and negative peace and make the component of school as peace ambassador both within at school or community.
