Abstract
Kemerosotan karakter yang semakin nyata, dilihat dari banyaknya berita tentang tindakan-tindakan asusila yang dilakukan anak-anak dan remaja dikarenakan lemahnya kesadaran pada nilai-nilai moral. Adanya pandangan miring masyarakat dan sikap yang cenderung menyalahkan pelaksanaan pendidikan agama yang ada di sekolah-sekolah umum, memotivasi pemerintah untuk mencetuskan Program Pendidikan Karakter di setiap sekolah. Khususnya pendidikan karakter religius dijadikan sebagai strategi bagi SMAN 79 Jakarta untuk membentuk peserta didik yang berakhlak mulia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter religius yang dikembangkan dan upaya pembentukan karakter religius di SMAN 79 Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan nilai-nilai yang dikembangkan antara lain ketakwaan, kesopanan, kejujuran, tolong-menolong, kebersihan, toleransi, keikhlasan, dan kompetitif. Sedangkan nilai karakter religius yang menjadi landasan utama peserta didik karena mudah dibentuk adalah nilai ketakwaan dan kesopanan. Upaya pembentukan karakter religius dilakukan melalui melalui penyampaian nilai-nilai religius secara teoritis, kegiatan belajar mengajar, budaya religius, kegiatan keagamaan, dan monitoring guru PAI. Sehingga dari upaya-upaya pembentukan karakter religius tersebut melahirkan model pendidikan karakter religius organik-integratif di SMAN 79 Jakarta. The decline in character is increasingly apparent, seen from the many news about immoral acts committed by children and adolescents due to the lack of awareness of moral values. The existence of society's skewed views and attitudes that tend to blame the implementation of religious education in public schools, motivate the government to initiate the Character Education Program in each school. Especially religious character education is used as a strategy for SMAN 79 Jakarta to form students who have noble character. This study aims to describe and analyze the values of religious characters that are developed and efforts to form religious characters in SMAN 79 Jakarta. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done by interview, observation, and documentation. From the results of the study, researchers found that the values developed were piety, politeness, honesty, help, help, cleanliness, tolerance, sincerity, and competitiveness. While the religious character values that become the main foundation of students because they are easily formed are the values of piety and politeness. Efforts to shape religious character are carried out through theoretical delivery of religious values, teaching and learning activities, religious culture, religious activities, and monitoring of PAI teachers. So from the efforts to form the religious character gave birth to an organic-integrative religious character education model at SMAN 79 Jakarta.
