Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Roundconsen (Roundtable-Concept Sentence) terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020, semester kedua pada bulan Mei di kelas VIII E. Metode penelian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest dengan sampel berjumlah 27 siswa. Uji prasyarat analisis data dilakukan dengan uji liellifors, diperoleh L_o = 0,0974 < L_t = 0,1665 pada pretest dengan taraf signifikasi α = 0,05 dan L_o = 0,0806 < L_t = 0,1665 pada posttest taraf signifikasi α = 0,05, maka data berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji homogenitas dengan uji fisher diperoleh, F_hitung= 1,08 dan F_tabel= 4,23, diperoleh bahwa Fhitung < Ftabel, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa data yang digunakan homogen pada taraf signifikasi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada saat sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan, pada saat pretest, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 47,96. Kemudian pada saat posttest, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 83,03. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh t_hitung = 13,39 lebih besar daripada nilai t_tabel = 2,29 dalam taraf nyata (α=0,05). Ini menandakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran roundconsen (roundtable-concept sentence) terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. Model pembelajaran roundconsen ini juga dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Penggunaan model roundconsen ini dapat dilengkapi dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik. Kata Kunci : roundconsen, roundtable, concept sentence, menulis, teks eksplanasi Abstract This study aims to find out the effect of the Roundconsen (Roundtable-Concept Sentence) learning model on the ability to write explanatory texts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. The study was conducted in the 2019/2020 school year, the second semester in May in class VIII E. The research method used in this study was an experimental method with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 27 students. The prerequisite test for data analysis was performed with the Liellifors test, obtained Lo = 0.0974 <Lt = 0.1665 at the pretest with a significance level α = 0.05 and Lo = 0.0806 <Lt = 0.1665 at the posttest the significance level α = 0 , 05, then the data are normally distributed. Homogeneity test results obtained by fisher test, Fcount = 1,08 and Ftable = 4.23, obtained that Fcount <Ftable, this shows that the data used are homogeneous at the significance level α = 0.05. The results showed that there was an increase in the average value at the time before and after being given treatment, at the time of the pretest, the average value obtained was 47.96. Then at the posttest, the average value obtained was 83.03. Based on the results of calculating the hypothesis using the t-test, t-count = 13.39 is greater than t-table = 2.29 in the real level (α = 0.05). This indicates that there is an influence of the use of the roundtable concept concept on the ability to write explanatory texts in eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. This roundconsen learning model can also be used in learning to write exposition text. The use of this roundconsen model can be complemented by the use of interesting learning media.
