Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode brainstorming dengan media video Kanal Youtube Barry Kusuma terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Dramaga. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Postest. Jumlah sampel terdiri atas 24 siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Dramaga. Berdasarkan analisis data, uji fisher digunakan sebagai uji homogenitas. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh Fhitung sebesar 1,45 dan Ftabel 3,44 memiliki data homogen. Berdasarkan perhitungan Uji-t, diperoleh thitung sebesar 6,85 sedangkan ttabel sebesar 2,07 dengan taraf nyata 0,05. Oleh karena itu, thitung menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel, maka hipotesis diterima. Rata-rata keterampilan siswa pada saat prates 66,5 sedangkan nilai postes 81,22, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa postest lebih tinggi dari pada nilai prates. Oleh karena itu, terdapat pengaruh metode brainstorming dengan media video Kanal Youtube Barry Kusuma terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Dramaga. Aplikasinya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di masa pandemi ini, guru dapat menggunakan metode brainstorming dengan media video Kanal Youtube Barry Kusuma menggunakan GoogleClassroom dalam menulis teks eksposisi sesuai dengan karakteristik teks yang dibuat secara tulis. Penelitian ini juga dapat diimplikasikan terhadap jenis teks lainnya. Contoh teks lainnya yang paling mendekati adalah teks deskripsi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu metode dan media yang dapat digunakan oleh guru pada pembelajaran teks eksposisi. ******** The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of brainstroming method applying Barry Kusuma Youtube Channel videos to the exposition text writing skill of 8th grade students of SMPN 1 Dramaga. The research was held on 2019/2020 academic year. One-Group Pretest-Postest research design is used for the experiment. There were 24 samples of 8th grade students of SMPN 1 Dramaga. Based on the data analysis, Exact Fisher Test was applied to see the homogeneity of the data. According to t-test, the t- count is 6,85 and t-table is 2,07 with exact number 0,05 that makes t-count > t-table. In that condition, the hypothesis is true. During the pretest, students' average skill score was 66,5, while at the postest they reached higher score, 81,22. This fact shows that brainstorming method using Barry Kusuma's youtube videos has impact on SMPN 1 Dramaga 8th grade students exposition writing skill. Its application on Bahasa Indonesia learning during this pandemic, teachers can use the brainstorming method on Barry Kusuma's YouTube channel using Google Classroom to write exposition text that follows the characteristics of written text. This research could also be implied on other type of texts. The closest example of the texts that can be used to do so is descriptive text. This research hopefully can be used as a benchmark on what method and media that teachers can use to teach exposition text.
