Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan laboratorium daur ulang sampah sebagai media pembelajaran geografi pada materi pengelolaan sampah kelas XI. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA N 5 Jakarta pada rentang waktu oktober – desember 2019. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPS SMA N 5 Jakarta yang berjumlah 132 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 66 siswa dengan rincian pada kelas eskperimen di XI IPS2 berjumlah 36 siswa dan pada kelas kontrol di XI IPS3 berjumlah 30 siswa. Pada kelas XI IPS2 mendapat perlakuan praktikum daur ulang sampah sedangkan pada kelas XI IPS3 menggunakan media konvensional berupa PowerPoint. Dalam menentukan sampel, peneliti menggunakan purposive sampling atau sampel bertujuan dengan mempertimbangkan kedua kelas diajarkan oleh guru yang sama, memiliki materi pengajaran yang sama dan mempunyai nilai rata-rata harian yang tidak jauh berbeda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan deskriptif statistik dan uji t pada program SPSS. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan metode tes dengan 30 soal baik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yakni test awal (pre test) dan test akhir (post test).Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dengan nilai signifikansi Sig (2-tailed) 0.001. Kenaikan nilai rata-rata di kelas eksperimen pada pre test dari nilai 60.33 menjadi nilai 84.19 hasil post test kenaikan mencapai 23.86 atau 29%. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada kelas kontrol dari 62.57 menjadi 75.07, kenaikan mencapai 16% atau 12.44.Peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media pembelajaran laboratorium daur ulang sampah lebih baik dibandingkan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol. The purpose of this research is to know differences of student learning outcomes using waste recycling laboratory as a geography learning media in waste management materials in class XI. This research was conducted at SMA N 5 Jakarta in the period October - December 2019. The population in this research was all students pf class XI IPS SMA N 5 Jakarta, totalling 132 students. The sample of this research were were 66 students with details in the experiment class in XI IPS2 totaling 36 students and in the control class in XI IPS3 totaling 30 students. In class XI IPS2 received a practical treatment for waste recycling while in class XI IPS3 used conventional media in the form of PowerPoint. In determining the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling or sample aim by considering that the two classes were taught by the same teacher, had the same teaching material and had a daily average score that was not much different. The data analysis technique used in this research was descriptive statistics and t test in the SPSS program. The data collection technique in this study was the test method with 30 questions in both the experimental class and the control class, namely the pre-test and post-test.The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class with a significance value of Sig (2-tailed) 0.001. The increase in the average value in the experimental class in the pre-test from a value of 60.33 to a value of 84.19 post-test results increased to reach 23.86 or 29%. While the average value in the control class from 62.57 to 75.07, the increase reached 16% or 12.44. The increase in the average value of the experimental class using learning media for waste recycling is better than the increase in the average value of the control class.
