Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran resiliensi pada individu dengan Bulimia Nervosa (BN). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus tunggal. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang individu dengan bulimia nervosa yang telah didiagnosis oleh psikolog atau psikiater serta tidak dengan adanya diagnosis gangguan psikologis lainnya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dukumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik resiliensi pada diri subjek belum sepenuhnya terbangun. Karakteristik yang belum terbangun pada diri subjek yaitu kebermaknaan (meaningfulnes), kepercayaan pada kemampuan diri (self-reliance), keseimbangan (equanimity), dan eksistensi kesendirian (existential alonenes). Sedangkan, untuk karakteristik ketahanan (perseverance) sudah terbangun dalam diri subjek. Dengan mengenali letak kelemahan dari resiliensinya serta menyusun langkah-langkah untuk menguatkannya, subjek dapat menguatkan resiliensi yang ia miliki. This research aims to understand how the resilience description of the individual with bulimia nervosa. This research used a qualitative approach through a single case study method. The subject of this research was an individual with bulimia nervosa that had been diagnosed by psychologists or psychiatries as well as did not have other psychological disorders diagnosis. Data collection method that applied are interviews, observations, and documentation. The result of this research showed that resilience characteristics of the subject have not been fully developed yet. The undeveloped characteristics of the subject are meaningfulness, self-reliance, equanimity, and existential alonenes. While the perseverance characteristic has been developed on the subject. By recognizing the weakness of the resilience and arranging the steps to strengthen it, the subject is able to strengthen his/her resilience.
