Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pet attachment dengan tingkat kesepian di kalangan dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dengan skala pengukuran psikologi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu accidental sampling dengan kriteria berusia 20-25 tahun, saat ini memiliki peliharaan dan berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur pet attachment adalah Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale (LAPS), sedangkan untuk mengukur tingkat kesepian digunakan alat ukur UCLA Loneliness Scale. Analisis terhadap 225 data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank dengan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0.147 (p>0.05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pet attachment dengan tingkat kesepian. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between pet attachment and loneliness among early adulthood. This study is using a quantitative approach with psychological measurement scale. The sampling technique that been used was accidental sampling with the following criteria: individual between 20-25 years old, have a pet and live in Jabodetabek. The measuring instrument used to measure pet attachment is the Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale (LAPS), while instrument used to measure loneliness is the UCLA Loneliness Scale. The 225 data analyzed with correlation analysis, spesifically Spearman Rank and shows significant value (p) of 0.147 (p>0.05). This result indicates that Ho accepted and Ha rejected, which mean there is no significant relationship between pet attachment and loneliness among early adulthood.
