Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode problem based learning dengan media prezi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan quasi eksperimental design jenis one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta dengan sampel berjumlah 25 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Dibandingkan dengan penelitian lain, terjadinya pengaruh metode problem based learning dengan media prezi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi karena karakteristik metode problem based learning dengan teks eksposisi yang sama yaitu berkaitan dengan isu/permasalahan, penelitian ini pun dilakukan secara daring, selain itu digunakan prezi sebagai sarana dalam penyampaian metode. Data pada penelitian ini berupa hasil tes menulis teks eksposisi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Berdasarkan uji normalitas dengan taraf signifikan (α) 0,05 didapati L0 pretest 0,1159 sedangkan Lt 0,1772. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebaran data pretest berdistribusi normal karena L0 ≤ Lt. Uji normalitas pada hasil posttest didapati L0 0,1220 sedangkan Lt 0,1772. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebaran data posttest berdistribusi normal L0≤ Lt. Berdasarkan uji homogenitas diperoleh Fhitung 1,4152 dan Ftabel 1,9837 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa data memiliki varians yang homogen karena Fhitung ≤ Ftabel. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan (α) 0,05 diketahui bahwa nilai thitung ≥ ttabel (8,92 ≥ 1,71). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak dengan kata lain ada pengaruh penggunaan metode problem based learning dengan media prezi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui rata-rata nilai keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi semula 60,76 saat pretest mengalami perubahan yang signifikan setelah diberi perlakuan menjadi 81,48 saat posttest.Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode problem based learning dengan media prezi berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Aspek penilian mengalami pengaruh tertinggi terjadi pada aspek tesis sedangkan pengaruh terendah terjadi pada aspek kata teknis. Pemanfaatan metode problem based learning dengan media prezi dapat diimplikasikan terhadap teks persuasi. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning method with Prezi media on the skills to write exposition text for 8th Grader of 97 Junior High School Jakarta. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The population of this study were all students of 8th grader pf 97 Junior High School Jakarta with a sample of 25 students. The sample in this study was selected using simple random sampling technique. Compared to other studies, the effect of the problem-based learning method with Prezi media on the writing skills of the exposition text is due to the characteristics of the problem-based learning method with the same exposition text which is related to issues / problems, this research was also conducted online, besides that, Prezi was used as a means in method delivery. The data in this study were the results of the exposition text writing test before and after the treatment was given. Based on the normality test with a significant level (α) of 0.05, it was found that Lo pretest was 0.1159 while Lt was 0.1772. It can be concluded that the distribution of the pretest data is normally distributed because Lo ≤ Lt. The normality test on the posttest results was found to be L0 0.1220 while Lt 0.1772. It can be concluded that the distribution of posttest data is normally distributed L0≤ Lt. Based on the homogeneity test obtained Fcount 1.4152 and Ftable 1.9837 with a significant level of 0.05. It can be concluded that the data has a homogeneous variance because Fcount ≤ Ftable. Based on the hypothesis test with the t-test with a significant level (α) of 0.05, it is known that the value of tcount ≥ ttable (8.92 ≥ 1.71). It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. In other words, there is an effect of using the problem-based learning method with Prezi media on the write skills 8th grader pf 97 Junior High School Jakarta. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the average value of the writing skills of the original exposition text was 60.76 when the pretest experienced a significant change after being treated to 81.48 at the posttest. Based on the results of hypothesis testing and data analysis, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning method with prezi media affect the writing skills of the 8th grader pf 97 Junior High School Jakarta. The aspect of assessment has the highest effect on the thesis aspect, while the lowest effect occurs in the technical word aspect. The use of problem-based learning methods with prezi media can be implicated in persuasion texts.
