Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial orangtua terhadap self regulated learning pada siswa SMP saat Pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Untuk mengukur self regulated learning, peneliti menggunakan alat ukur Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Pintrich (1990). Sedangkan, untuk mengukur dukungan sosial orangtua peneliti menggunakan alat ukur dukungan sosial orangtua yang dikembangkan oleh Cutrona & Russel (1987) yaitu Social Provisions Scale yang telah dimodifikasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dengan sampel berjumlah 331 subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial orangtua terhadap self regulated learning pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama saat Pandemi Covid-19. Variabel dukungan sosial orangtua memiliki pengaruh sebesar 10,9% terhadap self regulated learning. This study aims to determine the effect of parental social support on students’ self regulated learning in junior high school during the Pandemic of Covid-19. A quantitative research design was used as a research methodology. To measure self-regulated learning, researchers adopt the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) measuring tool developed by Pintrich (1990). Meanwhile, to measure the social support of parents, the researchers utilized a parental social support measure developed by Cutrona & Russel (1987), a modification of Social Provisions Scale. The sampling technique in this study used a non-probability sampling technique with a sample of 331 research subjects. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between social support of parents on students’ self-regulated learning in junior high school during the Pandemic of Covid-19. The parents’ social support variable has an effect of 10.9% on self-regulated learning.
