Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengungkapan diri di instagram ditinjau dari suku bangsa pada mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis varians satu jalur. Variabel pengungkapan diri diukur dengan instrumen Revised Self Disclosure Scale yang dirancang oleh Wheeless dengan dimensi tujuan, jumlah, valensi, kedalaman, dan kejujuran-ketepatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 96 mahasiswa yang sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Hasil analisis varians satu jalur menunjukkan F hitung 0,709 < F tabel 3,094 dan nilai p = 0,495 > α 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pengungkapan diri di Instagram ditinjau dari suku bangsa pada mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study aims to know the difference of self disclosure on Instagram reviewed from the ethnic group of the college students at State University of Jakarta. This research uses quantitative research methods with one way analysis of variance technique. Self disclosure variable was measured by using Revised Self Disclosure Scale (RSDS) which designed by Wheeles and Grotz (XX) with five dimensions which is intent, amount, positiveness-negativeness, depth and honesty-accuracy. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling technique. The total amount subject in this research is 96 college students in accordance with the research criteria. The results of a one-way analysis of varians show F count 0,709 < F table 3,094 and the p-value = 0.495 > α 0.05 which means that there is no difference of self-disclosure reviewed from ethnic group of college students at State University of Jakarta.
