Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan multilingual terhadap kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia anak usi 5-6 tahun. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 anak kelompok B Syafana Islamic School, Graha Raya, Tangerang Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen dalam bentuk pertanyaan untuk kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia dan instrumen checklist untuk kemampuan multilingual. Teknik analisis penelitian dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, dan teknik pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 14 anak yang memiliki kemampuan multilingual tinggi memiliki kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia yang lebih rendah. Hal tersebut secara signifikan berbeda dengan anak yang memiliki kemampuan multilingual yang lebih rendah (thitung = 6,776 dan ttabel = 0,683 α = 0,05, n = 30, dk = 28). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan multilingual berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia anak usia 5-6 tahun. The aim of this study is to understand the influence of multilingual skills to indonesian language skills of children aged 5-6 years. The samples in this study are 30 children in group B Syafana Islamic School Graha Raya, South Tangerang. It was taken using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by using instruments in the form of questions for Indonesian language skills and checklist instruments for multilingual skills. Research analysis technique was carried by normality test, and hypothesis testing techniques used t-test.The result of this study showed that 14 children who has high multilingual skill had lower skill of Indonesian language. It was significantly different to children who has low multilingual skill (tcount = 6.776 and ttable = 0.683 α = 0.05, n = 30, dk = 28). The conclution is that multilingual skills has an effect on Indonesian language skills of children aged 5-6 years.
