Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran masyarakat RT 13 Kebon Bawang dalam konstelasi ruang sosial-ekonomi dan politik Jakarta Utara dan menganalisis bentuk produksi ruang sosial masyarakat RT 13 guna menjaga kebertahanan di tengah konstelasi ruang ekonomi sosial dan politik Jakarta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RT 13 RW 05, Kelurahan Kebon Bawang, lingkungan masyarakat pinggiran daerah Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara pada pertengahan bulan Januari sampai dengan akhir Juni 2020. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 11 informan yakni warga RT 13 dan perangkat tokoh masyarakat serta tokoh formal, Ketua RW, Lurah, Ketua PKK, dan Petugas Koperasi MEKAAR yang berada di lingkup Kelurahan Kebon Bawang. Dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam pada informan, pengamatan, dan berupa data sekunder seperti tinjauan penelitian sebelumnya, sumber informasi pada web internet dan data BPS Jakarta Utara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terjadi proses produksi ruang kota di masyarakat pinggiran RT 13 Kebon Bawang, mereka berusaha mempertahankan ruang kotanya dengan memproduksi kota sesuai dengan kondisinya. Selain itu, masyarakat RT 13 menggunakan kelompok sosial guna menjaga kebertahanan di tengah konstelasi ruang ekonomi, sosial, dan politik Jakarta Utara. Mereka mampu membentuk kohesi sosial didalam kelompok masyarakat tersebut untuk dijadikan sebagai basis kekuatan serta basis perlawanan masyarakat RT 13 RW 05 Kelurahan Kebon Bawang ditengah konstelasi ruang dan ketidakadilan kota. This study aims to describe the image of the people of RT 13 Kebon Bawang in the constellation of North Jakarta socio-economic and political space also to analyze the form of production of the social space of the RT 13 community in order to maintain survival in the midst of the constellation of socio-economic and political space in North Jakarta. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study research method. This research was conducted in RT 13 RW 05, Kebon Bawang Village, a neighborhood of the suburbs Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta in mid-January to the end of June 2020. The research subjects consisted of 11 informants, that was residents of RT 13 and the apparatus of community leaders as well as formal figures, Chairman of the RW, Lurah, Chairman of the PKK, and MEKAAR Cooperative Officers who are in the Kebon Bawang Village. The data collection is done by in-depth interviews with informants, observations, and in the form of secondary data such as a review of previous research, sources of information on the internet web, and North Jakarta BPS data. The result of this research is, there is a process of producing urban space in the outskirts of the RT 13 Kebon Bawang community. Besides, the people of RT 13 use social groups to maintain sustainability amid the constellation of economic, social, and political space in North Jakarta. They can form social cohesion within the community group to be used as a base of strength and community resistance base RT 13 RW 05 Kebon Bawang Village amidst the constellation of space and urban injustice.
