Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media youtube saluran Halo Edukasi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dan desain penelitian model one group pretest posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII H dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 siswa. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa media youtube saluran Halo Edukasi berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks ekspanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. Hal ini terlihat pada perubahan hasil nilai rata-rata siswa yaitu hasil nilai rata-rata prates sebesar 73, lalu mengalami perubahan menjadi 85 setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan media youtube saluran Halo Edukasi. Selain itu terlihat juga pada hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t. Data menunjukkan bahwa thitung (8,104) > ttabel (2,064), sehingga H₁ diterima. Media youtube saluran Halo Edukasi pun dapat diimplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas VIII, yaitu pada pembelajaran teks eksposisi yang terdapat pada KD 3.6 Mengidentifikasi struktur, unsur kebahasaan, dan aspek lisan dalam teks eksposisi artikel ilmiah populer (lingkungan hidup, kondisi sosial, dan/atau keragaman budaya, dll) yang diperdengarkan atau dibaca dan KD 4.6 Menyajikan gagasan dan pendapat ke dalam bentuk teks eksposisi artikel ilmiah populer (lingkungan hidup, kondisi sosial, dan/atau keragaman budaya, dll) secara lisan dan tertulis dengan memperhatikan struktur, unsur kebahasaan, dan aspek lisan. This research aims to determine the influence of the Halo Edukasi youtube channel media on the explanatory text writing skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. This research approach is a quantitative approach, using experimental research methods and research design model one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this research is class VIII H with a total of 25 students. The data analysis shows that there is an effect of using the Halo Edukasi channel youtube media on the explanatory text writing skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 97 Jakarta. This can be seen in the change in the results of the average score of the students, namely the result of the pre-test average score of 73, then it changes to 85 after being given treatment using the Halo Edukasi channel youtube media. Besides that, it can also be seen in the results of hypothesis testing using the t test. The data shows that tcount (8,104) > ttable (2,064), so H₁ is accepted. The youtube media channel Halo Edukasi can be implicated in learning Indonesian Language for class VIII, namely in learning the exposition text contained in KD 3.6 Identify the structure, linguistic elements, and oral aspects in the text of the exposition of popular scientific articles (environment, social conditions, and / or cultural diversity, etc.) that are heard or read, and KD 4.6 Presenting ideas and opinions in the form of exposition text of popular scientific articles (environment, social conditions, and / or cultural diversity, etc.) orally and in writing by paying attention to structure, linguistic elements, and oral aspects.
