Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap self-efficacy pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur GSE (General Self-Efficacy) yang disusun oleh Schwarzer dan Jerusalem (1995) untuk mengukur self-efficacy dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dari Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet dan Farley (1988) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Psikologi UNJ yang sedang menyusun skripsi yang berjumlah 242 orang mahasiswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 165 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil pengujian statistik menunjukkan nilai F hitung 25,46 > F tabel 3,90, dan nilai p 0,000 < α 0,05 maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial terhadap self-efficacy pada mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2016 yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap self-efficacy sebesar 13 %. Hubungan tersebut arahnya adalah positif atau searah yang mengartikan bahwa, apabila dukungan sosial naik, maka self-efficacy akan naik. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of social support on self-efficacy in students who are preparing undergraduate thesis. This study uses the GSE (General Self-Efficacy) as measuring tool compiled by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1995) to measure social support uses the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) from Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet and Farley (1988). This research uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study were college students majoring in Psychology Education UNJ who were preparing undergraduate thesis as much 242 students. The sample in this study amounted to 165 respondents using purposive sampling techniques. Statistical test results show the calculated F value of 25.46 > F table 3.90, and a p value of 0.000 <α 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between social support for self-efficacy in students of the Faculty of Psychology Education, State University of Jakarta class of 2016 who is working on undergraduate thesis. Based on the results of data analysis, there is an effect of social support on self-efficacy for 13%. The relationship is positive or unidirectional direction which means that, if social support rises, then self-efficacy will increase.
