Abstract

Keterampilan Cara Berpikir – Berpikir Kritis, Memecahkan Masalah, dan Mengambil Keputusan, merupakan keterampilan-keterampilan esensial harus dimiliki dalam menghadapi dunia digital yang bergerak dengan cepat. Dalam merespon isu ini, sistem pendidikan berupaya untuk menerapkan keterampilan-keterampilan tersebut ke dalam kurikulum, silabus, dan rencana pembelajaran. Sementara itu, Keterampilan Menyimak merupakan keterampilan reseptif yang penting sebelum melanjutkan ke keterampilan produktif. Oleh karena itu, studi ini bertujuan merancang silabus Keterampilan Menyimak Bahasa Inggris terintegrasi Keterampilan Cara Berpikir untuk program studi pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Strata-1. Studi ini menerapkan Desain dan Pengembangan. Tahapan penelitian dalam studi ini meliputi Analisis Kebutuhan, Penjelasan Tujuan, Desain dan Pengembangan Silabus, Purwarupa Silabus, dan Revisi Desain. Sumber data pada studi ini terdiri dari 13 silabus Keterampilan Menyimak dari 5 Universitas di Indonesia. Analisis ini melibatkan kerangka kerja Keterampilan Cara Berpikir dalam teori berbasis Penilaian dan Pengajaran Keterampilan Abad 21 (ATC21S). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Keterampilan Cara Berpikir dalam silabus-silabus yang ada sebagian besar terintegrasi dalam komponen Deskripsi Mata Kuliah, Tujuan Pembelajaran, Topik atau sub topic, Aktivitas Pembelajaran, Media Pembelajaran, dan Asesmen baik secara implisit ataupun eksplisit. Penerapan terbanyak Keterampilan Cara Berpikir dalam silabus-silabus mata kuliah Keterampilan Menyimak yang ada adalah pada level Keterampilan. Studi ini menyediakan prosedur pengintegrasian Keterampilan Cara Berpikir dalam silabus Keterampilan Menyimak Bahasa Inggris dan mendesain silabus mata kuliah Keterampilan Menyimak yang terintegrasi didalamnya Keterampilan Cara Berpikir pada Mata Kuliah Menyimak Umum, Menyimak Profesional, dan Menyimak Akademik. Silabus-silabus yang diusulkan menerapkan silabus berbasis keterampilan dan desain silabus fungsional-notional.   Ways of Thinking Skills (WoT) – Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making, are the essential skills that people must have in facing this fast-moving world that is called a digital world. Responding to this issue, education system tries to implement the skills into curriculum, syllabus or course outline. Meanwhile, listening in English is an essential receptive skills to be acquired before continuing to productive skills. Hence, this study aims at designing the Ways of Thinking Skills - integrated listening syllabuses for English Language Education Study Program (ELESP). The study applied Design and Development Research (DDR). The stages of DDR in this study are Need Analysis, Describe the Objectives, Design and Develop the Syllabus, Evaluate the Syllabus, and Design Revision. The data source of this study consists of 13 Listening syllabuses from 5 Universities. The analysis involved a framework of Ways of Thinking in Teaching and Evaluation in 21st Century (ATC21S) based theory. The findings of this study showed that in the existing syllabuses, the WoT Skills were mostly integrated in the components of Course Description (CD), Learning Objectives (LO), Topics (T) or Sub-Topics (TS), Classroom Activities (CA), Media (M), and Assessment (A). The most applied of WoT skills in the existing syllabuses of listening subject was Skill level. However, the WoT skills were integrated or infused explicitly and implicitly mentioned in the syllabuses of listening subject. This study provides procedure of Ways of Thinking Skills integration in Listening Syllabus and designing of Ways of Thinking skills integrated Listening Syllabuses for Subject of General Listening, Professional Listening, and Academic Listening. The proposed syllabuses implemented the skill based syllabus and functional – notional syllabus design.
