Abstract

ABSTRAK Penciptaan karya seni visual berupa patung, karya ini merupakan bentuk ekspresi perupa dalam menangkap segala hal yang berkaitan dan menjadi ciri khas daerah Pandeglang, Provinsi Banten. Kemudian ciri khas daerah Pandeglang tersebut perupa gabungkan dengan mengandalkan gaya pribadi sehingga menjadi bentuk baru dan diwujudkan ke dalam karya patung berbahan dasar bubur kertas, tujuan dari penggabungan tersebut adalah agar karya patung perupa dapat diterima dan diapresiasi oleh masyarakat Pandeglang. Patung badak yang berada di daerah Pandeglang menjadi sumber inspirasi perupa dalam membuat karya patung ini, karena berdirinya patung-patung badak tersebut menjadi tolak ukur perupa untuk membuat suatu karya seni patung yang dapat diapresiasi bahkan diterima oleh masyarakat Pandeglang, perupa menyimpulkan penerimaan patung badak di Pandeglang hadir karena objek tersebut merupakan ciri khas dan ikon daerah Pandeglang karena badak cula satu merupakan hewan endemik yang hanya dapat ditemui di Kabupaten Pandeglang. Kesimpulan perupa untuk membuat karya patung yang dapat diterima masyarakat Pandeglang tersebut menjadi dasar untuk perupa menggali segala potensi kedaerahan Pandeglang, potensi kedaerahan yang perupa angkat adalah berupa badak cula satu, instrumen musik tradisi Pandeglang, dan batik pandeglang. Objek-objek tersebut perupa wujudkan menjadi bentuk karya seni rupa patung semi figuratif, berbahan dasar adonan bubur kertas dan diwujudkan dengan teknik permodelan. ABSTRACT The creation of visual art works in the form of sculptures, this work is an expression of the artist in capturing all things related and is a characteristic of the Pandeglang area, Banten Province. Then the characteristics of the Pandeglang area combine the artists by relying on personal styles so that they become new forms and are transformed into sculptures made from paper pulp, the purpose of this amalgamation is so that the works of the artists' sculptures can be accepted and appreciated by the Pandeglang people. The rhino statue in the Pandeglang area is a source of inspiration for artists in making this sculpture, because the existence of these rhino statues is a benchmark for artists to make a sculpture that can be appreciated and even accepted by the Pandeglang community, the artist concludes the acceptance of rhino statues in Pandeglang. present because the object is a characteristic and icon of the Pandeglang area because the one-horned rhino is an endemic animal that can only be found in Pandeglang Regency. The conclusion of the artist to make a sculpture that is acceptable to the Pandeglang community becomes the basis for the artist to explore all the potential of the Pandeglang region, the regional potential that the artist adopts is in the form of one horned rhino, Pandeglang traditional musical instruments, and Pandeglang batik. These objects the artist transforms into a semi-figurative art form, made from paper pulp dough and realized by modeling techniques.
