Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan cara meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika siswa kelas VB SD Negeri Karet 04 Setiabudi, Jakarta Selatan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition (CIRC) pada pembelajaran matematika materi perbandingan dan skala. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan langkah-langkah berupa kegiatan siklus yaitu plan (perencanaan), act (tindakan), observe (pengamatan), dan reflect (refleksi). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan heterogen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan tes untuk mengukur kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan aspek kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada materi perbandingan dan skala. Hasil penelitian dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai masukan atau bahan pertimbangan bagi guru khususnya ketika pembelajaran mata pelajaran matematika bahwa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC perlu dikembangkan guna meningkatkan aspek kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika. This study aims to find ways to improve the mathematical problem solving skills of VB grade students at SD Negeri Karet 04 Setiabudi, South Jakarta through cooperative learning models of Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition (CIRC) types in mathematics learning of comparative and scale material. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with steps in the form of cycle activities namely plan (plan), act (action), observe (observation), and reflect (reflection). The sample in this study amounted to 30 students who have heterogeneous abilities. The instrument used to collect data in this study was an observation sheet to find out the activities of teachers and students, and tests to measure the ability to solve mathematical problems. The results of the study can be concluded that the application of the CIRC type of cooperative learning model is very effective in improving aspects of problem solving ability on comparative and scale material. The results of the study can be used as input or consideration for teachers, especially when learning mathematics subjects that through CIRC type cooperative learning needs to be developed to improve aspects of the ability to solve mathematical problems.
