Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan berpikir secara mendalam yang digunakan untuk menganalisis, berargumen, hingga menciptakan suatu keputusan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi. Terdapat banyak permasalahan lingkungan yang dihadapi oleh manusia. Dibutuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa untuk ikut serta dalam menemukan solusi pada permasalahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL dengan pendekatan SETS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 66 siswa. Penentuan jumlah sampel dihitung dengan rumus Slovin dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 98 Jakarta pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020 melalui Google Classroom karena sekolah sedang menerapkan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Uji prasyarat analisis data menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t independent. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan SETS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA pada materi perubahan lingkungan. **** Critical thinking abilityis the ability to think deeply which is used to analyze, argue, and make decisions in solving the problems. There are many environmental problems faced by humans. It takes student’s critical thinking ability to participate in finding solutions to environmental problems. This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL model using SETS approach to critical thinking ability of high school students on environmental changes. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was 66 students. The determination of the number of samples was calculated by using the Slovin formula and sample determinationusing simple random sampling technique. The research was conducted at SMAN 98 Jakarta in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year through Google Classroom because the school was implementing Distance Learning. The data was collected using a criticalthinking ability test instrument and learning implementation observation sheet. The prerequisite test for data analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Data were analyzed using independent t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model using SETS approach on the critical thinking ability of high school students on environmental changes.
