Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang eksistensi tradisi Palang Pintu di kalangan remaja Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu remaja yang minimal 5 tahun berkecimpung di tradisi Palang Pintu dengan sample 4 orang informan inti, dan 2 informan kunci. Hasil Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa. Pertama, eksistensi tradisi Palang Pintu di Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat terlihat dari (a) Pelaksanaan tradisi Palang Pintu di Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat bukan hanya di acara pernikahan saja, tetapi berlangsung di acara lainnya, misalnya acara penyambutan tamu dan acara-acara Betawi. (b) Setiap tahapan prosesi, objek yang menjadi ciri khas, hingga pakaian yang dikenakan dalam tradisi Palang Pintu memiliki makna tersendiri. (c) Eksistensi tradisi Palang Pintu terlihat dari beberapa faktor yaitu masih adanya kemauan masyarakat terlibat dalam tradisi Palang Pintu, dilaksanakan dibeberapa acara, adanya regenerasi secara turun temurun dalam pelestarian tradisi Palang Pintu. Kedua, faktor remaja melestarikan tradisi Palang Pintu Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat di pengaruhi oleh dua faktor, yaitu (a) Faktor internal (motivasi, keingintahuan, dan kebutuhan ekonomi). (b) Faktor eksternal (keluarga, dan lingkungan masyarakat). Kata Kunci: Tradisi Palang Pintu, Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat, Remaja ******* This study aims to determine the existence of the Palang Pintu tradition among the youth of Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are adolescents who are at least 5 years old in the Palang Pintu tradition with a sample of 4 key informants and 2 key informants. The results of this study concluded that. First, the existence of the Palang Pintu tradition at Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat can be seen from (a) The implementation of the Palang Pintu tradition at Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat is not only at weddings, but takes place at other events, such as welcoming guests and Betawi events. (b) Each stage of the procession, the object that becomes its characteristic, to the clothes worn in the Door Cross tradition has its own meaning. (c) The existence of the Palang Pintu tradition can be seen from several factors, namely the willingness of the community to be involved in the Palang Pintu tradition, carried out at several events, the existence of hereditary regeneration in the preservation of the Palang Pintu tradition. Second, the factor of adolescence in preserving the tradition of the Palang Pintu Padepokan Cingkrig Kong Hayat is influenced by two factors, namely (a) internal factors (motivation, curiosity, and economic needs).
