Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh kemandirian belajar,kecerdasan sosial, keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Inggris terhadap keterampilan menulis teks recon bahasa Inggris siswa SMAN di Kota Depok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei kausal, dengan teknik analisis jalur. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) Kelas XI di wilaya zonasi pendidikan 2 Kota Depok dan 332 siswa yang dipilih secara acak sebagai sampel. Kuesioner dan tes digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian belajar berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien 0,40; Kecerdasan sosial berpengaruh positif langsung signifikan terhadap keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien 0,42;Kemandirian belajar berpengaruh positif langsung signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris (0,22); Kecerdasan sosial berpengaruh positif langsung signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris (0,24); Keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris berpengaruh positif langsung secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris (0,56). Selain itu, kemandirian belajar secara signifikan berpengaruh positif tidak langsung terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris melalui keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris (0,224); Kecerdasan sosial berpengaruh positif tidak langsung secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris (0,24). Selanjutnya, total pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris adalah 0,44; pengaruh total kecerdasan sosial terhadap keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris adalah 0,48. Kata kunci: kemandirian belajar, kecerdasan sosial, keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Inggris, keterampilan menulis teks rekon bahasa Inggris. This research aims to assess the effect of learning independence, social intelligence, reading skills on writing skills of English recount text in Depok. The method used in this study is a causal survey method, with a path analysis technique. The populations of the research are students of Public Senior High Schools (SMAN), Grade XI in Depok District and 332 students were randomly selected for the sample. The questionnaires and tests were used for collecting the data. The results of the study revealed that learning independence significantly has a direct positive effect on reading skills of English text with the coefficient of 0,40; Social intelligence significantly has a direct positive effect on reading skills of English text with the coefficient of 0,42; Learning independence significantly has a direct positive effect on the writing skills of an English recount text (0,22); Social intelligence significantly has a direct positive effect on the writing skills of an English recount text (0,24); English reading skills significantly have direct positive effect on the writing skills of an English recount text (0,56). Besides,learning independence significantly has an indirect positive effect on the writing skills of an English recount text through the reading skills of English (0,224);Social intelligence significantly has an indirect positive effect on the writing skills of an English recount text (0,24). Furthermore, the total effect of learning independence on the writing skills of an English recount text is 0,44; the total effect of social intelligence on the writing skills of an English recount text is 0,48.
