Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tentang strategi bertahan kesenian tradisional khususnya Wayang Orang Bharata dan Sandiwara Sunda Miss Tjitjih di Ibukota Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif Deskriptif dilengkapi dengan wawancara mendalaman dan studi literatur. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang dan dibagi menjadi 2 informan kunci dan informan pendukung, informan kunci meliputi 1 orang Dinas Kebudayaan DKI Jakarta, 1 Orang Pimpinan Wayang Orang Bharata, 1 orang Ketua Kelompok Sandiwara Sunda Miss Tjitjih, informan pendukung meliputi 1 orang anggota Wayang Orang Bharata dan 2 orang anak muda atau masyarakat yang memahami seni teater. Hasil penelitian ini berupa deskripsi mengenai strategi apa yang dilakukan masing-masing pengurus kesenian tradisional tersebut agar kesenian ini tetap bertahan di Ibukota di era globalisasi sekarang ini. Berdasarkan hasil yang sudah didapatkan adalah Wayang Orang Bharata melakukan misi kebudayaan seperti festival kebudayaan di luar negeri dari pemerintah, mereka melakukan kerjasama seperti berkolaborasi membuat pertunjukan bersama dengan 2 paguyuban teater seperi Wayang Orang Sriwedari dan RRI Solo, mereka juga mengajak anak-anak mereka sebagai penerus Wayang Orang Bharata agar tidak putus regenerasi dan tidak punah, pihak Wayang Orang Bharata juga memberikan naskah atau sinopsis dari cerita yang mereka bawakan agar semua orang dapat memahami cerita tersebut. Sama halnya dengan Sandiwara Sunda Miss Tjijtih mereka juga melakukan kerjasama dengan beberapa komunitas teater lokal untuk mengangkat nama Miss Tjitjih tetapi Sandiwara Sunda Miss Tjitjih belum pernah melakukan pertunjukan di luar negeri karena belum memiliki partner yang bisa bekerjasama dengan mereka untuk hal tersebut dan pemerintah pun belum pernah menggandeng Miss Tjitjih untuk tampil di Luar Negeri. Miss Tjitjih banyak menampilkan cerita horror agar disukai anak-anak tetapi tetap menggunakan bahasa sunda dicampur dengan bahasa Indonesia dan dilengkapi juga dengan naskah atau sinopsis untuk para penonton, Miss Tjitjih juga mengajak anak-anak keturunan mereka sebagai regenerasi This study aims to examine the survival strategies of traditional arts, especially Wayang Orang Bharata and Miss Tjitjih Sundanese Theater in the capital city of Jakarta. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method equipped with in-depth interviews and literature studies. There were 6 informants in this study which divided into 2: key informants and supporting informants, the key informants included of 1 person from the DKI Jakarta Cultural Service, 1 Leader of Wayang Orang Bharata, and 1 Chairperson of the Miss Tjitjih Sundanese Theater Group, meanwhile the supporting informant included of 1 member of Wayang Orang Bharata and 2 young people or people who understand theater arts. The results of this study are in descriptions of the strategies of each traditional art administrators so that this kind of art can survive in the big capital city in the current era of globalization. Based on the results that have been obtained, Wayang Orang Bharata carries out cultural missions such as cultural festivals abroad from the government, they have collaborated with several theater communities that contain young people to help them in promoting Wayang Orang Bharata, they also invite their children as the successor of the Wayang Orang Bharata so that it does not break up in regeneration and does not become extinct, the Wayang Orang Bharata party also provides a script or a synopsis of the story they bring so that everyone can understand the story. Similar to above mentioned, Miss Tjijtih Sundanese Theater also collaborated with several local theater communities to promote the name of Miss Tjitjih itself yet Miss Tjitjih Sundanese Theater has never performed overseas because they have not collaborated with partners who could cooperate with them for this matter and the government has also never took Miss Tjitjih to perform overseas. Miss Tjitjih presents a lot of horror stories so that their stories are able to be liked by children yet still uses Sundanese language mixed with Indonesian and is also equipped with a script or synopsis for the audience, Miss Tjitjih also invites their descendants as regeneration.
